Grats, Mr. Grimm.
This was by far my worst month - the first time I was over par. I am at least still keeping my 400+ streak of not going bust - happened so often to so many this time.

Re: Guess who died in 2024
Drummer Dennis Thompson, the last surviving member of the MC5, at 75. In just the last few months Wayne Kramer, the guitarist and their manager, John Sinclair, also died. The jams are now totally kicked out.

This has been my worst round since this tournament started but I've never gone bust. It's now been well over a year since that has happened but 3 6's in 9 days is shameful.

Re: Guess who died in 2024
Author Paul Auster at 77. A personal favorite of mine and Gary Cohen's. Gary did a lovely tribute to him a couple of weeks ago, mentioning that Paul was a huge Mets fan and would surely be watching. I spoke with his agent last week and mentioned that and she told me that he was so touched by that. H...

So if Vientos has a big game tonight and Marte comes off the bereavement list tomorrow, does Vientos still get sent down? If not, who goes? Stewart would get my vote.

After my phone got stolen in Chile I got a new one which gave me 3 months of Apple TV for free which I activated right before the first Mets game there. I'm good til July 4.

Re: When might you retire?
My wife is retired and enjoys it but the lack of seeing people on a regular basis would be hard for me (it was hard during the pandemic). I do, however, go back and forth with this as more and more of my friends are retired. Having a fixed date for retirement, however, does make me happy.

Re: When might you retire?
I picked "I could retire but I'm still working." I have working here for 35 years and was offered a generous retirement package but was asked to stay on -- I was given a contract that will still give me a big payoff when I do retire. The last date on the contract is June 1, 2026 but if I c...

Re: RIP Jerry Grote 1942-2024
When I was a boy the Mets used to have "meet-the-players" events. You would get to the game early and were brought into a small room where the player would come in and speak to the kids, take questions and sign pictures. I did it twice in 1966: Ken Boyer (who was my favorite player) and Je...
