Pete has become a black hole in the line up. He has 1 hit (a double) in his last 23 at bats. He just looks lost at the plate. A long way to go in the season, but he is not off to a good start in his free agent walk year.

The Mets could use a few hitters (like Arraez) that can actually consistently get hits and reach base. Far too many Mets regulars (Nimmo, Lindor, Alonzo, Stewart, Narvaez, & Nido) are hitting under .220 Compared to them, McNeil is raking with his .239 average. Only Martinez, Baty, Bader, Taylor,...

At least Christian Scott was as good (probably better) as we could have hoped for. He showed that being aggressive and throwing strikes can be very effective while also keeping your pitch count down so you can stay in the game longer. Hopefully, we get to see more of him this season.

Very good win for the team. The Bullpen continues to carry a heavy workload. Lindor rewarding the Mets faithful after his horrendous start. Tough series for runners trying to score on throws from the outfield. At least today, the good guys won.

Well, that sucked. When the Mets couldn't summon any offense in support of Severino's splendid effort, the eventual outcome almost seemed inevitable.

What a wasted effort. You fail to score runs and eventually the opposition is likely to make you pay. Case in point. Morel with his all or nothing (homer or K) approach to hitting comes through with a home run.

Okay, Severino has been carrying the Mets all night. Time for the offense to wake up give the man some run support. He has given up one sorry hit, but the Mets have only registered 3 of their own.
