Memories of Michael Tonkin

Traded to Minnesota for "cash considerations".

Got blown up real good in extra innings twice.

thin and craggy.

DiComo was full of stories about how high the Mets were on him but I think it was an options thing.

I bought into the Braves connection as a positive rather than thinking if they wanted him, they would have kept him
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

I suspect that the Mets plan on using 25 relievers this season.

I realize that isn't much of a memory.

Remember him being claimed on waivers by the Mets after the Twins made him available.

Nice move, Metskers.

Of course, this could go on for weeks, as a half a dozen teams may like the guy, but not have a spot for him in the big leagues, so he keeps getting grabbed off waivers, then waived, grabbed off waivers, then waived.

Such is a downside of being out of options.

My only memory of him is that you beat me to a Gulf of Tonkin joke. (or did I make it?)
