I went to the Mets site and saw that Lindor was up with one guy on.

I clicked to open the MLB.tv feed and saw (1) Alonso up, (2) Lindor in the dugout focusing on whatever was next and (3) the bases empty.

I was certain Francisco hit into a double-play. And then the score told me ... otherwise.

Hmmm... According to Baseball Reference, Tyler Fitzgerald is the son of a different Mike Fitzgerald, a guy whose career consisted of 13 games for the 1988 Cardinals.

Platoon him with all three.* Or bump Stewart from DH and make Taylor the DH. Taylor's been a starter in the past, Stewart is a consummate backup/Quadruple-A guy who will likely falter soon enough.**

It's a weird fad. The more they try to conserve and limit pitchers, the more they seem to get hurt and need season-ending surgeries.

I remember when it was 120, obviously. That seemed like a good standard.

Agree with the move or not, I like that Mendoza is confident enough to not let the circumstances dictate a non-move.
