Not a typical experience to have to sweat through an inning by Garrett.

Tomas Nido.

There is nothing neato about that guy coming to the plate.

For those interested:

"Senga (shoulder) completed a 32-pitch live batting practice session Saturday, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Facing hitters in extended live BP session marks a major milestone in Senga's recovery from a right posterior shoulder capsule strain, which caused him to miss most of spring training and resulted in him opening the season on the 15-day injured list before he was shifted to the 60-day IL on April 10. He won't be eligible to make his season debut until May 27, but Senga appears on target to return on or around that date based on where he currently stands in his recovery. The Mets will see how he bounces back from Saturday's throwing session over the next couple of days before deciding whether he's ready to report to a minor-league affiliate to begin a rehab assignment, or if he'll need to throw another live BP before doing so."

He's not looking good so far today, but he's Reed Garrett Jr. so far for the season:

5.1 IP, 10 K, 0.00 ERA.

The 9–3 double-play is Reid-Foley's secret weapon.

You've got to at least show him another pitch, Edwin.

He's not really putting the "win" in Edwin, is he?

Twice this season Diaz gives up a bomb. Unusual. But he doesn't look as invincible this year.

Diaz hasn't been Diaz since Seattle. He's still very good, but remember he sucked in 2019, was just decent in 2021, was great in 2020 but with a 60-game season it's hard to compare that to his other campaigns and he missed 2023...so basically, he had 2022.

That's a tough ruling for the scorers. They could have called a hit or an error on any of three players.

I could steal on this teams pitchers. But it doesn't matter they'd lose anyway.
