Aidan may be British. They refer to groups or organizations as if they were plural, even if they sound singular.

I just realized that the Mets Roster Central database had Grant Hartwig with a 5.05 ERA in 35 2/3 innings. His stats for this game being wiped out gave him a 4.84 ERA in 35 1/3 innings.

A much stronger position with which to enter free agency!
