Two-run passed ball!

Keep talking to Aaron Boone, booth!

Sweet that the Yankees had gotten three runs back but then decided to run themselves out of the inning.

Good to see the booth talk about "effective spin rate" being a key to getting batters to miss without having the velocity, a half inning after Sean Reid-Foley struck out the side.

On the other hand, this isn't a game broadcast, so much as an interview show.

Everybody the booth talks with seemingly decides to suck up to David Cone.

Maybe it's just me but even if I had scripted questions for Boone when he stopped to take out his pitcher I would have asked him "why now?" and "do you handle pitching changes differently in ST?"

But at least they're asking Cashman about college basketball.
I wonder which network is going to be covering the shit out of that sport over the coming weeks?

Mets have already whiffed 12 Yankees through seven.

The Yahoo box score shows an MFY error by someone named "H. Cohen", but there is nobody with that name anywhere else in the box score.
There is a blank line for the name of their third pitcher of the day.
It that who made the error?

Maybe the error was made by whoever put together the box score.

Since it's a spring training game, I wouldn't be surprised if someone put that in as a joke. Maybe H. Cohen is someone's mishap-prone friend.

The Yankees' third pitcher was Harrison Cohen, who came on for Yerry De Los Santos and allowed his two inherited runners to score. Cohen isn't on the roster and isn't officially in camp, having only thrown 3 1/3 innings above High-A, but with the team scheduled cross-state travel, was one of the minor leaguers who got floated up to be with the team for a day.

Non-baseball-dedicated outlets often get flummoxed in Spring Training when such an animal appears in a game. I think he got the error in failing to catch the ball while covering home on the play when the Mets scored two on a passed ball.

I figured Harrison might be the missing pitcher.
Thanks.
I looked him up and saw that he's from New Hyde Park, NY and attended George Washington University.
So did I. He had a better ERA in his one year in the minors than he had at GWU.
