I'm also very interested to see who will show up on NCIS for the memorial show that will be dedicated to the late David McCallum, who played Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard on the show for 20 years.
Will some favorites who have left the show return?(e.g.- Mark Harmon, Cote de Pablo, Pauley Pirrette and Michael Weatherly)
I've been watching the show since the first episode 20 years ago and can understand why it is "the most watched drama in the world".

I lost interest when Tony left, and lost what little interest I had left when Gibbs left.

I felt that way, too, but actually like some of the newer characters.
I was hoping we'd see Tony and Ziva in the memorial show- maybe calling in from wherever they are to offer their thoughts about Ducky. I read it will be the second show of the year.

Anyone else watching Shogun? It's a brilliantly rendered version of a great novel. Very recommended. I saw on Twatter that Irish is also watching & enjoying this one

This was one of Fdad's all time favorite books - I still have the dog-eared paperback version of it that he gave me as a teenager. I re-read it in anticipation of the mini-series. My son also loves this book, he read it as a high schooler and also re-read it in anticipation of this series. We waited until this week to watch it together as he's home on spring break.

Maybe it helps to have read the book, but I bailed mid-way thru the 3rd episode having absolutely zero idea what was going on.
I couldn't keep the characters straight, had no idea who was aligned with who or who was fighting who or why.
Just totally lost from the git go.

I could see that. I had the same response to the Dune movie. Having never read the book I didn't make it even halfway through the movie.

I have two guilty pleasures:

1) Ted on Peacock. Ted is hilarious and as off-color as you'd expect, but the rest of the cast is great as well. Definitely not for the kiddies. Also the closest thing you're going to get to an Orville reunion.

2) Girls5Eva now on Netflix after the first two seasons were on Peacock. It's silly and funny in a 30Rock kind of way, which isn't surprising since Tina Fey had a hand in it. Sara Bareilles makes a good straight man/woman as well as being a pretty good singer.

I didn't start with Game of Thrones until they were already into Season 3 so I was playing catch up from the beginning just as I was attempting
to do with Shogun. At some point during Season 2 of GoT I found myself lost so decided to go back and re-watch Season 1. Doing so helped me
refamiliarize myself with the characters and plot and was instrumental in allowing me to go forward from there without saying: 'wait ... what?'.
Maybe that's what I need to do with Shogun.

Tracker is the most widely watched show this season.
Must be because of all the ads CBS ran for it during the Super Bowl, because it isn't that good. Or different.
It has the same look and feel as the three FBI shows they broadcast on Tuesdays.

If it is, I saw them the first time they were shown.
But there will never be a Sherlock better than Basil Rathbone.

I celebrate Rathbone's Holmes, but making Watson a moron and suddenly changing the setting from Victorian Britain to modern times kind of undermines the films.

SPOILER ALERT 1: Their number one is Jeremy Brett. I think he's a fine choice, but the production of his run of the character looks pretty bad, recorded on video, with slow editing and bad lighting and such revealing the characters in powdery makeup. I think they kind of throw it to Brett out of sympathy because playing the role reportedly drove him more than a little crazy.
