I'm into season 3 of For All Mankind, ans as FK noted in 2023 thread is very soapish , but I'm still watching, good show

Finished Slow Horses season 3 , good season but not as good as previous, body count went up which I think is never a good sign for a show

I'm currently rewatching True Detective season 1 in anticipation of season 4

Looking forward to Masters of the Air coming to Apple TV in January

Nearly the entire New Year’s Rockin Eve between 11:30 and midnight was commercials! Seriously. One LL Cool J performance, a bunch of ads for medicines and weight loss places, a street interview with two women who might have been strippers, and the ball dropping. That’s it.

Same same on For All Mankind, I am caught up now and watching them as they come out. Once this season ends I'll be watching Fargo season 5.

True Detective season 1 is tremendous.

We were wondering who they were, too. I think they may have been Rita Ora's backup singers, but wasn't sure.

Finished the four seasons/40 episodes of MANKIND. Good at times, kind of ridiculous in others.
Gotta say that the acting wasn't exactly top notch although that may be a side effect of the ridiculous make-up necessary to make the
stars 'age' over the 30-some year arc of the show. I assume there's going to be a season five but with my free Apple+ subscription due
to run out at the end of February it's unlikely that I'l be around to see it. It was at times fun but they likely could have shown the same
amount of drama in about 25-30 episodes and I can certainly live without it going forward.

Enjoying SLOW HORSES more so far -- at least when I can understand the accents lol -- but am still just five episodes in on Season One.
It has the feel of a more professionally done show and the British seem to string these things out less so than American TV does.

The Mick Heron books are excellent too , I'll watch the season finale of For All Mankind tomorrow, agree with FK , it was definitely enjoyable enough to keep me going, and in truth I kinda flew through it.

Among the cool parts of SLOW HORSES
- a Mick Jagger theme song! Mick was apparently a fan of the book(s) on which the show is based and so
jumped at the chance for writing/singing the show's theme song, 'STRANGE GAME'
- Gary Oldman's character is a hoot, which essentially means that Oldman himself is. I mean, he plays a
thoroughly unlikeable character but he's also funny as hell while doing so.

A new series - Monsieur Spade is on AMC.
It stars Clive Owen as the famous detective who is living in France.
It looks promising.

True Detective season 4 through two episodes is awful , terrible writing, terrible story and terrible acting, Jodi Foster can't save this mess

I'm also very interested to see who will show up on NCIS for the memorial show that will be dedicated to the late David McCallum, who played Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard on the show for 20 years.
Will some favorites who have left the show return?(e.g.- Mark Harmon, Cote de Pablo, Pauley Pirrette and Michael Weatherly)
I've been watching the show since the first episode 20 years ago and can understand why it is "the most watched drama in the world".

Kid in a dysfunctional Aussie family in the mid-1980s encounters hijinx.

Good soundtrack. Kid actor is terrific, less so the grown-up in the second half of the series. Based on a novel. 6 eppysodes, an hour each

I lost interest when Tony left, and lost what little interest I had left when Gibbs left.

I felt that way, too, but actually like some of the newer characters.
I was hoping we'd see Tony and Ziva in the memorial show- maybe calling in from wherever they are to offer their thoughts about Ducky. I read it will be the second show of the year.

I felt cheated that they didn’t give us a Tony and Zina moment when she came back. I was pissed when they killed off Brina off-screen.

I like Gary Cole a lot (been a fan of his since Midnight Caller), but he isn’t Gibbs.

And anyone who says they're another Gibbs deserves a head slap. :)

True Detective season 4 was absolutely awful , terrible writing and a really confusing storyline, apparently it was a huge hit for HBO though

Masters Of The Air (Apple TV) is a worthy successor to Band Of Bothers and The Pacific, but it's very bleak, these guys were running highly dangerous missions, anyway, not as enjoyable as the other two

Is this based on the book by Donald Miller? It was a good book.
