I tend to think that thought occurs to him every day. But I also tend to think he's got a drinking issue with which he fends off the pain of self confrontation.

Surrounding yourself with people who pretend your alternate reality is real also helps keep that wolf away, even as they are an increasingly fringe-y crowd of people.

What I keep coming back to is not-yet-Mayor Giuliani launching into his first successful mayoral campaign of 1993 by fomenting a police riot. Using mob violence for personal advancement was nothing new to him on January 6. At some level, it has always been a part of who he is, even back in the times when he presented a civil front.

In fairness, I thought Colbert's riffing on the Kennedy news was pretty tasteless and small too.

Colbert isn't a member of Congress representing Americans, of course.

That’s awful and incredibly disrespectful. If he’s Tweeting that himself, he should be ashamed.

At least the worm got a meal.
If it had been in Eric Trump's head, it would have starved to death.

Nice song choice for a nation fighting desperately to maintain their freedom.
When did the choices get so hard
With so much more at stake
Life gets mighty precious
When there's less of it to waste

First Trump-Biden debate June 27. Two big wins for Joe- no crowd and they shut off the mic when you're not answering. Those restrictions must annoy Trump, who got outplayed here. Bring your popcorn.

Biden's video about the debate was ridiculous. "I hear you are free on Wednesdays?" He's supposed to be showing the contrast as the grown-up in the room. He has the advantage of being the president. Be presidential.

I'd be torn between trying to appear presidential and wanting to say, "Hey Donnie, I'll debate you any day your parole officer allows you to travel

I'm not sure there's any such thing as "presidential" anymore.

Nor is there anything 'congressional' anymore, so long as
Marjorie Tarzan Greene has a workable mic.

I never understood how the trailer park slur is supposed to be OK.

It brings shame upon the entire dojo.

Judging people by where they live or have to live is hardly liberal.
And not funny. The woman is just plain disgusting and I'll bet you
dollars to donuts a bunch of yay yay racist pigs send her a half a
million dollars after seeing her taking it to the blacky once it goes
viral. I really see no end to it all.

I remember when Howard Dean was declared unpresidential for yelling "Yee Ha" after the Iowa primary in 2004. We've come a long way down in only twenty years.

Spare me the pearl-clutching. Trump totally destroyed the notion of 'presidential'. It was a pretty good joke, and it was guaranteed to have Donnie flinging ketchup against the wall.

That 'when they go low we go high' stuff died with Hillary's campaign. This will be a dirty campaign, and it's good to see Biden get a jab in. Listen to any Trump speech (if you can stand it) and it's a hundred times worse.

If you're running for president and your opponent is the subject of a criminal trial, are you just going to ignore it? And if he's convicted, you don't mention it so you can be the 'adult in the room'? That's nonsense. Not to mention campaign malpractice.

I don't take the positions you describe, but I don't think there's any such thing as "campaign malpractice."

If it's your campaign, I encourage you to express yourself as you see fit.
