We were at the Cloisters for the last one.
Sunny all morning then poof a big cloud during the eclipse. Big disappointed crowd too.

You should write your autobiography! It can be all about how the weather changes from day to day or hour to hour.

Apparently, he's issuing it a chapter at a time.
I can't wait for the next exciting chapter.

A neighbor up the street got a box of fifty eclipse glasses and she distributed
them yesterday to everyone. It was kinda funny seeing everyone out in the
street and walking around in rainbow moon goggles.

It was a cloudy day, but I saw a quick glimpse of the eclipse when the clouds parted for a moment. I didn't use glasses, because the danger is from a prolonged look by people who watch the entire transit, and I only glanced for a second or two.

I was out mowing and my wife kept interrupting me for this and for that. I was annoyed, because I had some stuff to get to and it was getting late in the day.

Then I realized I was a yutz, and it wasn't late at all. It was just the sun disappearing. My neighbor lent me her supershades and it was cool.

We were actually in the car in our way to Williamsport for a doctors appointment during the local show.
We saw our son standing outside the building he works in on our way by!

That was the best part 😀

I was expecting total darkness for four minutes; silly me.

4 minutes of totality, right here in beautiful northeast Ohio. Between the women's NCAA Final Four and the eclipse, Cleveland has felt like a real city for the past couple of days.

It also happened to fall on the first really nice spring day we've had here all year, or at least the first one when I've been in town. We threw a party in the backyard.

Also fun texting photos back and forth with my neighbors in the small apartment we have in Montreal, which got a brief period of totality 14 minutes after we did. My downstairs neighbor there, a graphic designer, got the best photo I've seen of the eclipse anywhere.

Was a great day. I'm now in front of the telly watching the game and feeling like I'm turning into a pumpkin again.

Yeah, it's really nice that this made Cleveland the place to be.

Got some goggles time with a 90-ish% eclipse this afternoon. I did see the total one in 2017.
Prior to that my closest was one that justbarelyskirted the east coast in ?1970? The NYC area
got about 96% IIRC but to get to the totality spot you had to fly your Lear Jet to Nova Scotia.

Total nothingburger in Syracuse, unsurprisingly, as a bank of clouds obscured basically the entire event. It got good and dark for 90 seconds mid afternoon. <yawn>

I was the only photographer I know who was actively traveling away from the eclipse. Now we’re in the Atlantic, somewhere off the coast of southern Florida.
