I'd be curious how this ranking matches up against WAR.

Ottavino less than two quarters short of Schaefer glory. If he'd held a runner or two on, he'd be swimming in suds.

Alonso had the fourth highest 2023 WAR at 3.2 behind Lindor 6.0,
Senga 4.5 and Nimmo at 4.0.

He led the team in POLAR.

Very interesting. Thanks. Why do you suppose that is?

Schaefer voters don't necessarily take defense into account, WAR does

Schaefer doesn't require as many points to be doled out in losses. WAR doesn't care

Schaefer compresses the points players can earn by capping at 10, WAR doesn't

Schaefer is the one beer to have when you're having more than one. WAR is friend only to the undertaker.

Ruf year for the bench mob that Darrin was bench player of the year last season, albeit with a tragically low score , although a team that won 100+ probably didn't see a lot from the bench ?

Anyway, Happy I participated this season, probably only missed 6 games

A fair assessment. Thanks.

Because you asked for it!

We had really good participation this year -- thanks to everyone, especially in a year when things didn't go well at all for the Mets.

There were four forum members who voted in all 162 games. They'll receive a special award, which, due to budget cuts, may not be all that special.

Here's the breakdown:

Bicentennial Kong162
Methead162
Benjamin Grimm162
G-Fafif162
Metirish 159
JCL156
Edgy MD119
Ashie110
Cowtipper65
Ashie62 50
FK19
Edgy by Day, Edgy by Night6
cal sharpie5
Tamora3
Edgybar3
Fman3
Jimmy2
86-Dreamer1
Edgy to Bed, Edgy to Rise1
Alex1
JJCL1
Edgy IPA1

Everyone who voted in all 162 games will receive a special collector's edition used kitchen sponge! It's sure to one day be worth very little!
