PLAYER OF THE YEAR The Schaefer Mets Player of the Year for 2019 is PETE ALONSO, with 124.86 points. Since Pete is a rookie he is obviously a first-time winner. His point total falls just short of the post-2005 record set last year by Jacob deGrom. PITCHER OF THE YEAR The Schaefer Mets Pitcher of the Year is, for the fourth time, JACOB deGROM. And it wasn't at all close. Jacob's 106.29 points allowed him to finish well ahead of runner-up Zack Wheeler's 78.01 points.
