How long has this been goin' on ?
How long has this been goin' on ?

Well your freinds with their fancy persuasions
Can't admit that it's part of the scene
But I can't help but have my suspicions
'Cause I ain't quite as dumb as I seem

And you said you were never intendin'
To break up our secret this way
But there ain't any use in pretendin'
It could happen to us any day

How long has this been goin' on?

{repeat lots of times}

Ken Rosenthal stirs it up today and the Mets are busy refuting the story instead of, I don't know, getting ready to play the game.

Which is why I didn't like putting the winning run on base.
I don't know if the idea was to pitch to Teixeira carefully all along and not care if he walked, or if they only came up with the semi-IW once it got to 3-0.
Either way, crazy shit like that - or even just a double in the gap - is the exact reason you don't do it.

oe: and if it's any consolation (and I know it's not) the Phils just lost in the 13th inning (that's 3 eXtra inning games in a row for them and 4 of their last 6) after tying it with one out in the 9th. They left the bases loaded.

I wish I had Grimm's amazing detachment working for me right now, instead of this gut punch feeling I have in my stomach.

I switched to Vs. which is showing "Eight Men Out." At least those guys were trying to lose.

I find that concentrating and focusing my mind on sex can keep me from exploding during a baseball game.

Heard about it and thought: that must have been a bloopish hard to snag pop up that went off his glove.

Just saw it and I'm totally floored.

I'll leave it to the Elias people to figure out what the closest to victory but then losing situation ever was but I can't imagine that this wasn't in the top 5 in Mets history.

I also don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this was the worst non-playoff/playoff-determinative loss I've ever had the unfortunate nature of attending.

New MFY park is actually pretty nice if not for all the pop-fly homers. It's like they kept it mostly the same but fixed a lot of what sucked about the old place, while also adding a million suites or luxury seats. Not in my top 5 parks but not bad either.

Maybe Castillo will say that he didn't think could get it because he thought it was going to be a home run.

No one is forcing you to be a Mets fan. Go watch some other team.

Fuck you. I'm allowed to vent.

Language aside, I agree with soup.

If we can't vent among our own, where can we vent?

Ah, I get it now.
