How long has this been goin' on ? How long has this been goin' on ? Well your freinds with their fancy persuasions Can't admit that it's part of the scene But I can't help but have my suspicions 'Cause I ain't quite as dumb as I seem And you said you were never intendin' To break up our secret this way But there ain't any use in pretendin' It could happen to us any day How long has this been goin' on? {repeat lots of times} Remarkably sparse lyrics, but great vocals and I always liked that song.

He's like the version of that guy who became a town cop, and is a hell of an upstanding-- if smug as hell-- one during daylight hours. Only he gets drunk sometimes and gets really racist and "fag"-bash-y when he does... and is still a bully with everyone in his life, including his children. Oh, and he plays excellent defense.

In other news, Phils trail 2-1 to the Sox bottom ninth, but Papelbon is not in, and, before I can even finish my thought, Howard homers off Ramirez to tie it.
|
seawolf17 Jun 12 2009 07:45 PM |
Green's not a bad idea there either, because you need a ground ball. Not a guy who was pitching in front of 6,000 fans in Asscrack, Wisconsin yesterday.

Frayed Knot Jun 12 2009 09:13 PM |

Which is why I didn't like putting the winning run on base. I don't know if the idea was to pitch to Teixeira carefully all along and not care if he walked, or if they only came up with the semi-IW once it got to 3-0. Either way, crazy shit like that - or even just a double in the gap - is the exact reason you don't do it. oe: and if it's any consolation (and I know it's not) the Phils just lost in the 13th inning (that's 3 eXtra inning games in a row for them and 4 of their last 6) after tying it with one out in the 9th. They left the bases loaded.
