Re: Let's talk about Sandy Alcantara

A healthy Alcantara under team control below market value for 3 years of what should be his prime, gets 3 of whatever combination of Scott/Sproat/Tong/Acuna/Mauricio/Williams that they want. If they want a starter from the big club to replace Sandy, I’d give them two from the above list and Megill. ...

Last season AppleTV had an option to listen to either team’s local radio broadcast. If they still offer that, it’s an easy call.

Re: Mets Opening Day IGT @ Houston - 3/27- 4:10pm

Anybody trying to stream this? Fortunately I am watching in my living room via my old fashioned ‘cable provider’ on a television and all is well. Occasionally I do stream though depending on my location and/or situation via the SNY app. MLB now having taken that over from SNY, I thought I’d test it ...

I can recommend ‘The Agency’ on Paramount. Michael Fassbinder is excellent as usual as a CIA operative suddenly pulled out of a long-term deep-cover assignment in which he had built a pseudo-life. As he returns to duty at London station, he struggles with his reintegration and what he was forced to ...

Bingo.

Sign a catcher? Alvarez will be back in May. Torrens should be perfectly capable of holding down the fort for a few weeks. Jeez Louise.

Agreed. I also liked what I saw of Torrens last season and if Alvarez can really be back by beginning of May I’m comfortable with him.

Re: Pardon Pete Rose?

Okay, now I get it. Rose’s family is petitioning MLB to get him posthumously removed from the ineligible list in hopes that that would be the first step to HoF enshrinement. A pardon from the White House doesn’t hurt. Since nothing matters anymore I guess that tracks. https://www.nytimes.com/athleti...

Re: Pardon Pete Rose?

I think Trump somehow thinks that pardoning Pete Rose clears Rose’s path to the HoF.

It doesn’t of course, but who the fuck knows these days?

I’m also pretty confused as to why Pete Rose is even a concern to anyone anymore.

He hasn't reached his potential ceiling yet.
