Re: IGT 06/05 Mets at Nats Keep it Going - Part II

There is a flood watch for DC. With the Mets' flight to London after the game (and the Mets returning in July) I don't expect them to wait too long to "bang" this one.

Re: Mets Roster Central 2024

The Mets and PHI can add a 27th player for the London series but it must be a hitter (at least theoretically, by Mets standards). I'm guessing that they will activate Francisco Alvarez. From The Athletic: They can bring three extra players with them to London as a taxi squad. They are permitted to ...

DiComo: Reed Garrett, called upon to finish this one off in the ninth, has his own (temporary) closer's entrance now. The lights flashed off and Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" is blasting at Citi Field.

And to think I liked Reed Garrett.

Re: Baty and Scott to Syracuse

Scott is a little bit of a surprise. (And so is Baty, for that matter.) Is Butto coming back? The Mets have Thursday and Friday off for the London series as well as the following Monday. Scott could have pitched Tuesday in WSH but I guess they have other ideas. Perhaps he will pitch the first game ...

MLB could put the 10th inning runner halfway between 3d and home and the Mets wouldn't score.

Bases loaded, 3-1 count, and Taylor watches it. And then the former batting champion fails again. Pathetic.

IGT 05/28/24 -- LAD @ NYM -- Game One

Let's play two! The Dodgers have "tweaked" their rotation to match Tyler Glasnow against Tylor Megill just be funny and give the announcers something to talk about. Glasnow pitched 8 shutout innings against the Mets on April 21st but the Dodgers have lost 5 straight and the Mets have won o...

It WAS on the schedule. Today's game has been banged.
There will be a single admission doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 4:10 PM.
Enjoy your day.

Wednesday's game is at 4:10 so if they are going to have a split doubleheader it has to be tomorrow (not that I'm advocating for a split-DH, they shouldn't be allowed, but the poor owners need their gate revenue).

Joey Wendle was DFA'd by the Braves which means they had just enough time to get him to tell secrets about the Mets organization.

If you challenge a call and you're wrong, and it's determined that it's a stupid challenge, any player on the opposing team gets to slap the manager who asked for the challenge as punishment for wasting our time.

Nido with a stupid play when there are two outs and you are inept at your job. Everything you need to know about Narvaez is this: he doesn't start over Nido who should be in AA (for another team). "Run prevention" my butt.

This only makes sense if either Pablo (not Jose) Reyes, Jose Iglesias, or Rylan Bannon joins the team. Lindor's eventually going to need a day off.
