Re: Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
I've been aware of Eurovision for several years. One of my favorite actresses, Danielle Ruah(from Portugal), has hosted it several times, and one of my favorite singers, Saara Aalto (Finland) finished second one year. For Americans who don't follow it, it is a BIG deal, watched by hundreds of milli...

If this is average to you, I want your watchlist. Supercharming romcom, but with the aforementioned bonus stuff Edgy mentioned AND a generous soupcon of that great-sci-fi thing where they assay/interrogate the nature of something (What is love? What is commitment? What does time and our finite share...

It's a nice throwback.
So are our current uniforms (not saying/just saying). If you're going to do something new, do something new.

The Red Sox uniforms are the colors of the Boston Marathon and uses the same font as Boston Marathon branding. They will be worn on Patriots Day weekend which in non-pandemic years is when the Marathon is run. My son has already requested that I buy him the hat, so they're hitting their target audi...

Oh, that guy's not retired. And neither is this guy.
THAT'll come in another year or two. For now, he hobbles along after a protracted absence, then finds balance in late July: 21 G, 30 IP, 2-4, 3.78 ERA/1.10 WHIP, 10.05 K/2.85 WHIP

I think he gets more of, like, the Trachseloma/Joe Niekritis, where he ends up with more wins than you'd think. 15-7, 4.23 ERA/1.21 WHIP, 9.1 K/9, 2.9 BB/9 in 28 starts.

Hot start in Syracuse, comes up for a week during a weird, we-thought-they-tested-positive-but-they-didn't IL week in June, PHs twice, and goes back down. Maybe does that again later in the year, to similar effect. Basically, Campbell's Soup, new recipe. 30 or so PAs at the major league level, at a ...

12 PPG/8.2 RPG, but with more turnovers and ill-advised passes than you'd like-- he's not a BALLHANDLER, guys. Oh, also, I'll play the usual JCL role: Used extensively in medium-leverage/multi-inning stuff in April, does well. Gets blown up a bunch in May, though and gets optioned for a bit. Back up...

Re: Twenty-One Prediction Fun: Brandon Drury
Or it means plenty of contribution from the Villars and Guillormes already likely claiming a bench spot. I think he gets a call up for, like, a week and a half when Davis gets a ding on his dong. He'll get a hit in 5 ABs-- twice as PH, one day-game-after-night-game start. We'll forget he was a Met b...

Nobody gives poor Peterson any respect. The guy was 2nd best starter last year (out of two good ones, sure) and probably a top-5 performer overall and his reward? Gets his uni number slashed by 54 digits, and like 6 new competitors who all seem to have better reps and better chances. Just turning u...

Not so yennsy season at AAA, ERA in the mid-4s, with flashes of interesting. Misses several injury-spurred busses down to NYC, in favor of guys like Eickhoff and Yamamoto.

Fucking Germans. Fucking Upham, too, right?
Speaking of fucking up 'Ham, well, that's what Carpio will do-- to the tune of a BABIP-fueled .300 average and .370 OBP-- before a late-season cup of cafe, COVID-rules allowing.

Great early on, ends up stepping in by May by May, as secondary setup man-- with bases clean, preferably, thank you-- and performs like Edwin Diaz's little brother. Which is to say, he'll be similar to Edwin Diaz, only messier (more walks) and more annoying (many more walks). 61 IP, 68 K/33 BB, 3.69...

Good news: he'll be nearly untouchable. He'll be blown up twice, on two badly-located pitches. The rest of the time, ridiculous, to the tune of an 1.34 ERA and 98 K/22 BB over 65 innings or so, ridiculous to the point of tempting overuse... leading to... Bad news: Injury in September. Missed month f...

I like the notion of predicting what he'll do at whichever level in addition to/instead of which level he'll land at. Wherever he winds up, he'll be that rare player that makes a better window than a door. Because he's practically translucent, see? [Bow tie spins] Also, he'll go .321/.352/.470, but...

Struggles with the glove and-- worse-- bat early, and loses his starting gig this summer, the Summer of Guillorme. Flores-like resurgence in fan estimation late, as he delivers a couple of big PH extra-base hits against the Marlins and Braves during the season's last week, helping secure the NL East...
