Find it hard to believe the outfield is going to be playable or is that covered in some shape or form

Re: IGT Game #3 Brew @ Mets 3/31 1:40 PM

This was the game we were at.
Result didn’t play ball but it was an entertaining go round. Didn’t know what the catcher interference was at the time it was happening - umpires were clear as mud.. Park was great - such a remove from the old Shea : we did have lovely seats just behind the mets dugout.

As someone who’s been in the city and then had to get cab out to JFK I can not believe there is any hope of this happening.

Re: Going to A game - Opening few days!

quick thing.
Going to purchase tickets for the Sunday game shortly and the tickets on SeatGeek seem a decent bit cheaper then those on the mets.com - even with their horrendous fees and charges.
Any experiences with any of the re-sellers?

Re: Francisco Alvarez is close to signing an extension. Or not.

Has there ever been a long term deal for a pre arb player that didn't turn ok for the club? These seem pretty low risk edit: Immediately after posting this I remembered Wandor Franco. So I'll revise the question: Has there been a long term pre-arb deal that didn't work out ok for the club just look...

Re: Immaculate Grid

I liked this one - a pleasant smattering of mets including one of my favourite rare ones in Desi Relaford - but wish I'd saved him for the Rockies as I'm sure he'd have done a damn sight better for me then Vinny Castilla!

Re: Beltre, Helton, Mauer (split from "Ten Mets on the ballot [Hall of Fame 2024]")

Jose Reyes got exactly the number of votes he deserved. Glad that Wright gets to stick around another year. I don't think he is a hall of famer but I like talking about him! Beltran was a better player than Andruw Jones, but the trash cans are always going to be a factor. You know else were better ...

Between 1st and 3rd, then whatever's in your price range. Even the Promenade is "close" to the field there. Keep in mind Citi can be incredibly chilly around Easter. Damp and windy. So the ability to get into a club can be important. The Promenade club is difficult to watch a game from. W...

Going to A game - Opening few days!

Hello Right- so I'm bringing the kids and the mrs to New York for Easter - and one of the deals is that we get to go to a game, Obviously it's opening weekend so it'll be busy or we could go to the the Monday night game. However, I think the Saturday/Sunday afternoon games vs the Brewers would be be...

Re: Winter Ball Injury for Ronny Mauricio

That female athletes get ACL (and similar) tears at a greater rate than males is statistically true (at least in some studies, mostly involving basketball IIRC). Whether the basic leg structure is The reason or simply A reason is speculation, but it certainly rings true to me. It definitely is true...

Re: Winter Ball Injury for Ronny Mauricio

. Anecdotally, I think of blown ACLs as more common in amateur soccer than the pros, so maybe, but what do I know? But it's certainly not crazy to think that more rest over the winter would have made this less likely to happen in spring. I’m pretty sure they’re not that common in amateur football, ...

Re: Immaculate Grid

I pulled out the Ron Gardenhire (Germany) card for foreign born NYM (0.4%) I don't generally pay much attention to Career WAR stats so didn't have a good mental handle on them which made me reluctant to go too obscure with my guesses in that column. Turns out that 40 is a lower bar than I feared it...
