I pulled out the Ron Gardenhire (Germany) card for foreign born NYM (0.4%)

I don't generally pay much attention to Career WAR stats so didn't have a good mental handle on them which made me reluctant to go too obscure with my guesses in that column. Turns out that 40 is a lower bar than I feared it might be and the likes of Brett Butler or Tony Phillips would satisfied the NYM square and I could have been more daring than choosing Piazza, Mays, and Robbie Alomar.

Don't know where I pulled the Mel Rojas and Bobby Higginson out of - well I do
In the MOFO (was it MOFO - when did that end?) days I always thought the mets should have traded for Bobby Higginson/signed him as FA - know idea why I was so especially high on him. There was some other slugger that I had an over active eagerness for too which I'm trying to recall.
And then I somehow remembered Mel Rojas was a met after putting in Grandy and was annoyed about it and then I figured he wasn't from USA and went from there.
My knowledge of the Angels is very poor.

Mac Scarce — good one. A fun, if very challenging, way to play, is to try to get a Met in all nine boxes. Today, though, that was actually pretty doable, though it may take some brainpower and faith to get Amos Otis as your 2000-hit Royal. (He had 2,020.)
