Taveras (and how annoying is it that "Taveras" and "Tavares" are both cromulent Spanish surnames?), with the current glut of relief options, is currently projected to join the Cyclones' bullpen. You think that's not so big, but it allows Trey McLoughlin to join Binghamton, which allows Austin Adams to join Syracuse, which allows Phil Bickford to join the Mets opening day roster in place of Kodai Senga — because the Mets are always thinking.
At 6'5" / 265, DMT is also built like an all-pro outside linebacker. He was a top prospect for Houston not long ago, delivering a plus-plus heater with a funky short-arm-action motion that made it even tougher to pick up. I'm not sure what sent him sideways, but he didn't quite make it all the way up the ladder.
