A good way to remember him.

I suppose that is supposed to look like a "B" because it doesn't look like a "3" or a "BUDDY" (and really small)

I think it's a B-3 combo. I like it.

I guess I feel like just using a black armband whenever a team needs to represent mourning can save designers a lot of trouble.

Except, of course, for Rusty, who should have gotten an orange armband.

Nothing for Jim McAndrew. :{

Do we know which Mets have been honored on the uniform with special patches? I remember a black armband for Gil Hodges, but that was before patches became a thing.

Carter, Staub, Seaver, and now Harrelson. Anyone else? Agee perhaps?

Agee/Cole on Opening Day 2001.
Tug in 2004, with something added for Murph later in the season.
Kiner in 2014, with an FC added for Cashen.
Black armband in 1976 for Payson and Stengel.

Would expect a McAndrew "moment of silence' acknowledgement.
Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

Agee I think was the one that was only on opening day. And I think he shared the patch with another dead guy

That shared-patch thingie rings a bell, but I can't quite summon the memory. I think John Milner died that offseason also, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't him.
