What's in Store for Twenty-Four?: Brooks Raley
The energy behind the series that was lighting up the Internet a few weeks back has ebbed. Indeed the last couple of WiSf24? threads have generated all the excitement of a 1969 Phils reunion. But we still haven't covered all the characters from the Opening Day Roster, so it's imperative that you tell me what's going to happen to myself, currently the top lefthanded reliever in the Mets bullpen, before Nate Lavender or Kolt Ingram or even Josh Walker come along and I get Michael Tonkin'd.
Did you know that Michael Tonkin didn't even get a WiSf24? thread? It's true! It's true and it's tragic. But this is my second season in this bullpen, and I've gotten the job mostly done so far, so I don't intend to get spun out of this revolving door so easily. Me, Otto, Smitty, and Sugar are the closest things to fixtures in this unfixed world that is the Major League bullpen of 2024, and I'm staying fixed here until you tell me what my season is going to look like.
So tell me.

A very Raley-ish 70 G, 64 IP, 72K, 15 holds, 1 save, 2.88 ERA

I have never insulted anyone. I simply describe them, accurately.

he'll be fine. just a normal lefty-who-can-get-out-righty kinda guy
Re: What's in Store for Twenty-Four?: Brooks Raley
He was a late bloomer who looked like he got lucky with a standout year with the Rays in 2022. So I was very impressed with his 2023 performance with the Mets. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be able to repeat that dominance three years in a row, however I don't think he'll completely collapse. 65 G, 4.00 ERA, 5-3 W-L.

Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.
