Orioles down 4-2 to Tigers in the 9th at Camden Yards, Closer Jason Foley on for Detroit:
Single, Single, Walk, 2-RBI Double (Gunnar Henderson)
Game tied, 2nd & 3rd, no one out, pitching change

Tigers currently one game out of final WC slot ... but that's looking kind of slippery right about now.

Cedric Mullins - GO runner holds
Anthony Santander - Pop Out to SS in very short LF, no tag despite a nasty collision between SS & LF
Colton Cowser - FO to CF (they got their FO's in the wrong order)

And they're going to the 10th

And the Tigers not only survive the 9th inning but go on to win it in the 10th

The Detroit Tigers are now tied with the Royals for a wild card slot, with the Twins a half-game behind them. Keep in mind, the Tigers were sellers at the deadline.

It’s like they totally checked out after winning the division and aren’t interested in competing for bye. They may well be locked into the 3 seed before we get there, which would be good.

The good news is that the Royals will likely have something to play for that last weekend in Atlanta. The bad news is that’s largely because they’ve been awful.

Braves may have won but the Diamondbacks finally lost to Milwaukee (it's important to keep two teams within reach).
... Annnnnd, the Padres are currently down 2-1 in the 8th vs the ChiSox (though a leadoff double to start bottom 8).

So the Padres start off the 8th with double - double - passed ball - Sac Fly - HR and lead 4-2
And that's why they're the White Sox. They've now got a 1/2 inning to try and avoid loss #120

Maybe they should have held on to Jack Flaherty.

A lot of prospects either up now or almost there. Talk here is that the team will be willing to eat the last three years if Javy's contract.
