Memories of When We Were Young

Post by Edgy MD » Mon Jan 20, 2025 3:36 pm

Some time in the last two hours, lefthander Alex Young was reported to be returning to the Redlegs. The reliever had previously spent 2023 and parts of 2024 with Cincinnati.

Alex was a reliably solid fist-pumper. You need guys like that.

He was good while we had him. I kind of wish the Mets would've brought him back.

First 5 appearances = 5 IP, 0 ER. A third-of-an-inning from usurping CJ Nitkowski in the Met record books (most innings Met career, lowest ERA). He kept going and gave up a few runs.

Wasn’t Danny.

Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

Smallish lefty, No. 46, but not Oliver Perez. Some good results early but they never really trusted him.
