Umpire fired for gambling connections

Absolutely nothing good is going to come from the growing association with -- and access to -- sports gambling.

Tragic that they come down on him without looking in the mirror.

It’s possible to be hypocritical and still make the correct decision.

Using someone else’s credentials to make surreptitious wagers and then trying to delete all the evidence? Assuming the accuracy of what was reported, that’s reason for termination as an umpire.

Sure, but it's more than hypocrisy. it's complicity.

Yeah, I’ve always stayed away from sports gambling too. A few of my friends got into it during college, and it got kind of messy real quick for one of them, maxed out a card just placing random bets on NBA games. It can definitely get out of hand fast, especially when there's constant access and no real barrier to entry.

I’ve been trying to find better uses for my phone honestly. Lately I've been looking for ways to earn money with phone rather than lose it to gambling. Way less risky and actually productive.
