my offense taking every advantage they can? where can I sign up?
and the legality is irrelevant? Where can I send your Trump2020 bumper sticker?
Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.

And The Mole, not to be confused with The Old Mole, is now leaving YES for an unspecified role in the Met front office!

My guess? Stevie wants to ensure a Met NY on Beltran’s eventual HOF plaque.

While for good reasons, that mid-00s run has been looked upon negatively in the nearly 20 years since Omar and Willie were hired. Kind of intriguing to see the creeping back of that era’s legacy with a few players at OTD, and Beltran back in the fold.

Because the Yankees suck? and somehow a fanbase that listens to Stearling and Waldman thinks they have any authority to label another broadcaster as not good?

Beltran and the YES TV booth was not a good fit.
Probably not all his fault: his English isn't great; the YES booth is often over-crowded leaving each guy scant time to sound insightful; he, along with co-newbie Cameron Maybin, came off as diversity hires when they were thrown into the deep end of the pool with scant MFY connections and seemingly little or no prep work.

But if that stands as a first step for Carlos in his rehab towards a job in a front office then maybe it wasn't lost time after all.
Maybin hooked on with the Tiger booth this winter (his first club) so somebody must see something in him too.

Yeah, from Beltran's perspective after losing the Mets manager job he had to be thinking that any job with a team was a good job for a year just to remove the taint of hiring him
