Yoan Lopez, who pitched for the Mets in 2022, is 4-1 with a 1.18 ERA in 49 relief appearances for the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna in Mexico. His WHIP in 1.050.

Seth Lugo, who pitched for the Mets from 2016 to 2022, is 16-8 with a 2.94 ERA and 145 ERA+ in 30 starts for the Royals. He is leading the league in wins, starts (30), innings pitched (193) and batters faced (779) and was named to the All-Star team.

Jake Marisnick, who played for the Mets in 2020, hit .333/.412/.533 in 5 games with the ACL Angels and is hitting .283/.368/.551 with 12 home runs and 31 RBI for the Angels' Triple-A team in Salt Lake City. Overall, he's hit .286/.371/.549 with 12 home runs and 33 RBI in 59 games.

IIRC the reason the Mets didn't re-sign him was because he wanted to start and they were afraid his arm wasn't healthy enough to for him to start. (I think they said it was his elbow .)

Steven Matz, who pitched for the Mets from 2015 to 2020, is 1-2 with a 5.94 ERA in 8 games (7 starts) for the Cardinals. In 9 starts between their Double-A team in Springfield (0-1, 0.00 ERA) and their Triple-A team in Memphis (0-1, 3.91 ERA), he is 0-2 with a 3.25 ERA, averaging nearly a K per frame.

Patrick Mazeika, who played for the Mets in 2021 and 2022, began 2024 with the Gastonia Baseball Club of the Atlantic League, hitting .284/.389/.617 with 14 home runs and 42 RBI before moving to the Diablos Rojos of the Mexican League in July. He's hit .250/.357/.354 with no home runs and 6 RBI in 13 games with them.

James McCann, who played for the Mets in 2021 and 2022, is hitting .217/.260/.333 with 5 home runs and 23 RBI in 60 games for the Orioles.

T.J. McFarland, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, is 2-3 with a 3.71 ERA in a league-leading 73 relief appearances for the Athletics. He was originally signed by the Dodgers in January, but traded to the Athletics for cash in March.

Billy McKinney, who played for the Mets in 2021, hit .200/.286/.240 with no home runs and 2 RBI in 25 at-bats for the Pirates. He's hit .299/.406/.460 with 5 home runs in 19 RBI in 43 games for their Triple-A club in Indianapolis and .200/.455/.267 in 6 games for their High-A club in Greensboro; overall, his minor league line is .290/.412/.441 with 5 home runs, 19 RBI and 44 hits in 49 games. He had originally been signed by the Yankees in December 2023, but was traded to Pittsburgh for cash just a few days later.

Adonis Medina, who pitched for the Mets in 2022, is 8-3 with a 3.82 ERA in 48 relief appearances for the Washington Nationals Triple-A club, the Rochester Red Wings. He's currently on the 7-day IL.

Jenrry Mejia, who pitched for the Mets in 2010 and from 2012 to 2015, is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 28 games (1 start) for the Saraperos de Saltillo in Mexico.

Danny Mendick, who played for the Mets in 2023, hit .197/.243/.318 with 3 home runs, 8 RBI and 6 stolen bases in 47 games for the White Sox. He is currently with their Triple-A club in Charlotte and is hitting .275/.346/.527 with 10 home runs and 34 RBI in 49 games.

Tyson Miller, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, was signed by the Mariners in November and went 0-0 with a 3.09 ERA in 9 relief appearances for them, striking out 12 in 11 2/3 innings. He was traded to the Chicago Cubs for minor leaguer Jake Slaughter in May and has gone 4-1 with a 2.18 ERA in 44 games there. Overall, he is 4-1 with a 2.37 ERA and a 169 ERA+ in 53 games. He had a 2.25 ERA in 4 games for the M's Triple-A club in Tacoma.

Tommy Milone, who pitched for the Mets in 2017, pitched for the Saraperos de Saltillo in Mexico, going 3-5 with a 5.86 ERA in 14 games (13 starts). He was released July 26.

Rafael Montero, who pitched for the Mets from 2014 to 2017, is 1-2 with a 4.70 ERA in 41 relief appearances for the Astros. For their Triple-A club, for whom he is currently playing, he is 1-1 with a 2.20 ERA in 17 appearances, striking out 24 in 16 1/3 innings.

Zach Muckenhirn, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, began 2024 with the independent High Point Rockers, going 3-1 and 10.1 K/9 with a 4.24 ERA in 25 relief appearances there. He departed High Point partway through the year and signed with the Sultanes de Monterrey in Mexico on July 5. He is 1-0 with a 1.04 ERA in 9 relief appearances there.

Omar Narvaez, who played for the Mets in 2023 and 2024, was released by New York in early June 2024 and signed by the Astros less than a month later. He is hitting .196 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI in 42 games for their Triple-A team, Sugar Land.

Tomas Nido, who played for the Mets from 2017 to 2024, was released by the Mets in mid-June and signed by the Cubs a couple days later. He hit .128 with one homer and 4 RBI in 47 at-bats with them, before being released August 30. The Tigers signed him on September 17. He hasn't played for Detroit, but is hitting .222 in 9 at-bats for their Triple-A club in Toledo (he was 1-for-2 for the Cubs' Triple-A club).

Vinny Nittoli, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, was signed by the Athletics in November 2023. He made 7 relief appearances with them, going 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA; for their Triple-A club in Sacramento, he went 3-1 with a 2.70 ERA in 20 appearances, with 36 Ks in 23 1/3 innings. He became a free agent on June 24. On June 27, he was signed by the Cubs, but was DFA'd the next day, June 28. He became a free agent on July 1, having never pitched in the Cubs system. On July 2, he was signed by the Orioles, posting a 0.00 ERA in 2 appearances with them. For their Triple-A team in Norfolk, he was 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 3 appearances. On August 1, he became a free agent again. The Mets signed him on August 11. He went 1-1, 9.82 in 3 games with Syracuse, putting his 2024 Triple-A totals at 4-3, 3.60 in 26 games (43 Ks in 30 IP). The Mets released him August 30. His 2024 MLB totals were 0-1, 1.50 in 9 games.

We're getting to the end of Part 1 of this endeavor, so lettuce power through.

Stephen Nogosek, who pitched for the Mets in 2019 and from 2021 to 2023, was signed by the Nationals to begin 2024, but was released May 24 after going 1-2 with a 9.77 ERA, 10.3 BB/9 IP and 2.106 WHIP (!!!) in 11 relief appearances. He then signed on with the independent Lancaster Barnstormers, going 1-1 with a 4.32 ERA and 13 saves in 33 games there; he has 43 Ks in 33 1/3 innings. He loves that number 3, apparently.

Rafael Ortega, who played for the Mets in 2023, hit .071 in 14 at-bats for the White Sox. He's hit .289/.414/.498 with 11 home runs, 53 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 84 games for their Triple-A club in Charlotte.

Jose Peraza, who played for the Mets in 2021, hit .302/.345/.403 with 7 home runs and 41 RBI in 79 games for the Leones de Yucatan in Mexico.

Michael Perez, who played for the Mets in 2022 and 2023, was signed by the Baltimore Orioles in December and hit .215 with 2 home runs and 13 RBI in 22 games for their Triple-A club in Norfolk. He was traded to the Mariners on May 22 and hit .177 with 3 homers and 8 RBI in 16 games for their Triple-A club in Tacoma. The Mariners released him July 9 and he signed with the Diamondbacks on July 31. He's hit .354/.444/.622 with 4 home runs and 13 RBI in 24 games for their Triple-A club in Reno. Overall, he's hit .259/.354/.453 with 9 home runs and 34 RBI in 62 games at Triple-A this year.

Tommy Pham, who played for the Mets in 2023, was signed by the White Sox in April. He hit .266 with 5 home runs and 19 RBI in 70 games with them. On July 29, he was traded to the Cardinals. In 23 games there, he hit .206 with 2 home runs and 12 RBI. The Royals selected him off waivers on August 31. In 18 games with them, he's hit .241 with 2 home runs and 7 RBI. In 111 major league games, Pham has hit .251 with 9 home runs and 38 RBI. He also played briefly in the White Sox minor league system, hitting .273 in 3 games for their Rookie League club and .294 in 4 games for their Triple-A club in Charlotte, bringing his minor league average to .286 in 7 games.

Kevin Pillar, who played for the Mets in 2021, signed with the White Sox in February 5. He hit .160 with 1 home run and 4 RBI in 17 games with them. He became a free agent on April 29 and was signed by the Angels the next day. He's since hit .254 with 7 home runs, 41 RBI and 9 steals in 78 for the Angels, bringing his major league totals to .245 with 8 home runs, 45 RBI and 11 steals in 95 games.

Kevin Plawecki, who played for the Mets from 2015 to 2018, was signed by the Padres and has hit .260/.340/.443 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI in 75 games for their Triple-A team in El Paso.

Erasmo Ramirez
, who pitched for the Mets in 2020, is 3-0 with a 4.35 ERA in 13 games for the Rays. With their Triple-A club in Durham, he is 3-4 with a 3.23 ERA in 37 appearances; in 53 IP, he has 64 Ks.

Neil Ramirez, who pitched for the Mets in 2017, was 5-4 with a 4.83 ERA in 17 games (12 starts) for the independent High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League. In 69 innings, he had 75 Ks.

Yohan Ramirez, who began 2024 with the Mets, was purchased by the Orioles on April 11. He had a 6.00 ERA in 5 appearances for Baltimore before being selected off waivers by the Mets on May 6. Two weeks later, on May 20, he was purchased by the Dodgers and went 0-4 with a 5.52 ERA in 27 relief appearances with them. On July 28, the Red Sox selected him off waivers and he posted a 13.50 ERA in one game there. Overall, he is 0-5, 6.20 in 38 big league appearances this year. He also has a 2.18 ERA and 10.5 K/9 in 15 games for the Red Sox Triple-A club in Worcester.

Wilson Ramos, who played for the Mets in 2019 and 2020, hit .320/.383/.465 with 4 home runs and 36 RBI in 46 games for the Bravos de Margarita in the 23-24 Venezuelan Winter League. In the Caribbean Series, he hit .310 in 7 games.

Jack Reinheimer, who played for the Mets in 2018, hit .269 with 6 home runs and 21 RBI in 53 games for the independent Gastonia baseball club, before being signed by the Cubs on June 25. He hit .167 in 5 games for the Cubs Double-A club in Knoxville and .173 in 30 games for their Triple-A club in Iowa, for a combined average of .172 with 1 home run and 11 RBI. He was released August 12.

Denyi Reyes, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, is 10-4 with a 3.78 ERA in 25 starts for the Samsung Lions in Korea.

Matt Reynolds, who played for the Mets in 2016, 2017 and 2022, hit .000 in 4 at-bats for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan before undergoing season-ending surgery and being released on June 29.

David Robertson, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, is 3-4 with a 3.13 ERA in 65 relief appearances for the Rangers. He has 95 Ks in 69 innings of work.

Hansel Robles, who pitched for the Mets from 2015 to 2018, was signed by the Mariners, but has spent the whole year on the IL.

Joely Rodriguez, who pitched for the Mets in 2022, was 0-1 with a 5.93 ERA in 14 appearances for the Red Sox. For their Triple-A club in Worcester, he was 0-2 with a 1.88 ERA in 13 games. He elected free agency on August 28.

Amed Rosario, who played for the Mets from 2017 to 2020, was signed by the Rays in February. He hit .307/.331/.417 with 2 home runs, 26 RBI and 9 stolen bases in 76 games there. In late July, he was traded to the Dodgers and hit .273/.333/.364 in 11 at-bats with them. On August 18, he was selected off waivers by the Reds, and has hit .161/.190/.214 in 56 at-bats there. Overall, he's hit .281/.307/.381 with 3 home runs, 32 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 102 games.

Fernando Salas, who pitched for the Mets in 2016 and 2017, went 0-1 with a 1.36 ERA and 28 saves in 33 games for the Olmecas de Tabasco in Mexico.

Ali Sanchez, who played for the Mets in 2020, is hitting .167/.211/.190 with 4 RBI in 84 at-bats for the Marlins. He was originally signed by the Pirates, but was granted free agency before the season began. The Cubs signed him and he hit .240 in 41 games for their Triple-A team in Iowa. He hit .154 in 7 games for the Marlins Triple-A club in Jacksonville. In total, he hit .226 with 3 homers and 22 RBI in 48 games at the Triple-A level.

Gary Sanchez, who played for the Mets in 2023, is hitting .219 with 10 home runs and 36 RBI in 86 games for the Brewers. He hit .167 in 6 ABs for their Triple-A club in Nashville.

Yolmer Sanchez, who played for the Mets in 2022, returned to the Mets system in 2024, hitting .226 with 9 homers, 52 RBI and 9 steals in 111 games for their Triple-A club in Syracuse.

Dennis Santana, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, signed with the Yankees, going 2-0 with a 6.26 ERA in 23 relief appearances there. He was selected off waivers by the Pirates in mid-June and has gone 1-1 with a 2.34 ERA in 37 games with them (he also has 47 K in 42 1/3 IP there). All told, he is 3-1 with a 3.88 ERA in 60 games. He had a 6.75 ERA in 2 games for the Yankees Triple-A club in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Hector Santiago, who pitched for the Mets in 2019, was 3-1 with a 4.84 ERA in 9 games for the Acereros de Monclova in Mexico.

Paul Sewald, who pitched for the Mets from 2017 to 2020, is 1-2 with 16 saves and a 4.31 ERA in 42 games for the Diamondbacks. In addition, he has 43 Ks in 39 2/3 IP. He also had a 5.40 ERA in 2 games between the ACL Diamondbacks and their Triple-A club in Reno. He is currently on the 15-day IL.

Zack Short, who began 2024 with the Mets, was purchased by the Red Sox on May 1. He went hitless in 7 at-bats with them. The Braves purchased him on May 9, hitting .148 in 54 ABs there. For their Triple-A club in Gwinnett, he hit .216 in 29 games. In total, he's hit .129 with no homers and 5 RBI in 70 big league at-bats.

Chasen Shreve, who pitched for the Mets in 2020, allowed no runs in one game (1 IP) for the Rockies. He was originally signed by the Rangers, going 2-0 with a 1.61 ERA in 20 appearances for their Triple-A team in Round Rock, but not before being released and re-signed by Texas. They let him go for good in mid-June, though he was signed by the Yankees on June 24. He was 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA in 10 appearances for their Triple-A club in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before being released August 1. The Rockies signed him August 4 and he allowed 3 runs in 1 inning for their Triple-A club in Albuquerque. His contract was selected August 6, he was DFA'd August 10, and he elected free agency August 14. And that is the Chasen Shreve story for 2024.

Chance Sisco, who played for the Mets in 2021, began the season with the independent Long Island Ducks, hitting .261/.392/.563 with 16 home runs and 45 RBI in 65 games. The Cardinals signed him on August 30. In 7 games with their Triple-A club in Memphis, he hit .217.

Dominic Smith, who played for the Mets from 2017 to 2022, signed with the Cubs in February, though he was released before the season began. The Rays signed him April 1, and he hit .263 with 2 home runs and 11 RBI in 21 games for their Triple-A club in Durham. He was released April 30 and signed with the Red Sox on May 1. In 84 games with the Red Sox, he hit .237 with 6 home runs and 34 RBI. The Red Sox released him August 20. The Reds signed him August 22. In 9 games there, he hit .192. The Reds released him September 5. In 93 MLB games, he hit .233 with 6 home runs and 34 RBI.

Robert Stock, who pitched for the Mets in 2021, was 9-4 with a 3.38 ERA in 19 starts for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos in Mexico, striking out 103 batters in 98 2/3 innings.

Hunter Strickland, who pitched for the Mets in 2020, is 3-2 with a 3.31 ERA in 72 games for the Angels. He had a 13.50 ERA in 2 appearances for their Triple-A club in Salt Lake City.

Marcus Stroman, who pitched for the Mets in 2019 and 2021, is 10-9 with a 4.31 ERA in 30 games (29 starts) for the Yankees.

Cole Sulser, who pitched for the Mets earlier in 2024, was traded to the Rays in late July. In 6 appearances (two starts) with the Rays, he went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, bringing his MLB totals to 1-0, 2.76 in 10 games. For the Rays Triple-A club in Durham, he had a 2.08 ERA in 9 appearances, bringing his Triple-A numbers to 3-2 with a 1.66 ERA in 33 games; he averaged more than a K per inning.

Thomas Szapucki, who pitched for the Mets in 2021 and 2022, pitched a single game in the Giants system, making a start for the ACL Giants and posting a 0.00 ERA in 1 inning. He's currently on the 60-day IL.

He was 1-2 with an 8.82 ERA in 8 starts for their Triple-A team in Iowa, though he averaged more than 10 Ks per 9 innings. On June 1, he was released and on June 4, he was signed by the Orioles, who had originally signed him in February before somehow he made his way to the Mets system. With the Orioles Triple-A club, he was 1-1 with a 9.18 ERA in 4 starts, bringing his Triple-A totals to 2-5, 8.94 in 12 starts. The Orioles released him in late June and he signed with the Sultanes de Monterrey in Mexico about a week later. With them, he was 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 3 starts.

Ruben Tejada, who played for the Mets from 2010 to 2015 and in 2019, hit .298 with 70 hits and a .405 OBP in 73 games for the Leones de Yucatan in Mexico.

Michael Tonkin, who pitched for the Mets to begin 2024, was purchased by the Twins on April 9. On April 17, the Mets selected him off waivers from the Twins, then on April 25, he was selected off waivers by the Yankees. On August 27, the Twins selected him off waivers from the Yankees. He had a 3.86 ERA in 13 games for the Twins, striking out 22 batters in 16 1/3 innings and was 3-2 with a 3.38 ERA in 39 games for the Yankees, averaging more than a K per inning. Overall, he was 4-4 with a 3.63 ERA in 57 appearances, striking out 85 batters in 79 1/3 innings.

Wilfredo Tovar, who played for the Mets in 2013, 2014 and 2021, hit .371/.440/.497 with 7 home runs, 44 RBI and 87 games for the Rieleros de Aguascalientes in Mexico.

Nick Tropeano, who pitched for the Mets in 2021, was 4-2 with a 5.48 ERA in 15 games (6 starts) for the independent Long Island Ducks.

Justin Turner, who played for the Mets from 2010 to 2013, hit .256 with 6 home runs and 31 RBI in 91 games for the Blue Jays before being traded to the Mariners, with whom he hit .261 with 5 home runs and 22 RBI. In total, he hit .258 with 11 home runs and 53 RBI.

Edwin Uceta, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, was 2-0 with a 1.51 ERA in 30 relief appearances for the Rays. In 41 2/3 innings, he had 57 Ks, a 0.816 WHIP and a 266 ERA+. For their Triple-A club, he was 1-2 with a 5.77 ERA in 22 games, averaging 12.3 K/9 IP.

Raul Valdes, who pitched for the Mets in 2010, was still going at 45 years old, going 4-6 with a 4.99 ERA for the Toros del Este in the 2023-24 Dominican Winter League. He was 1-1 with a 0.96 ERA in 2 starts in the Caribbean Series.

Justin Verlander, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, was 5-6 with a 5.48 ERA in 17 starts for the Astros. In 4 starts between their Double-A team in Corpus Christi and their Triple-A club in Sugar Land, he was 0-2 with a 8.36 ERA in 4 starts.

Jonathan Villar, who played for the Mets in 2021, hit .325/.400/.417 with 24 steals and 106 hits in 84 games for the Algodoneros de Union Laguna in Mexico.

Daniel Vogelbach, who played for the Mets in 2022 and 2023, hit .186 with a home run and 8 RBI in 31 games for the Blue Jays. They released him on June 18.

Michael Wacha, who pitched for the Mets in 2020, was 13-8 with a 3.35 ERA and 126 ERA+ in 29 starts for the Royals.

Josh Walker, who pitched for the Mets in 2023 and 2024, was traded to the Pirates in July. He had a 8.00 ERA in 8 relief appearances for their Triple-A club in Indianapolis. They released him August 10 but brought him back on August 15.

Taijuan Walker, who pitched for the Mets in 2021 and 2022, was 3-7 with a 7.10 ERA in 19 games (15 starts) for the Phillies. In 5 starts split between three clubs in their minor league system, he was 1-0 with a 3.97 ERA.

Joey Wendle, who began 2024 with the Mets, was released in May. A few days later, he was signed by the Braves, who granted him free agency less than a week later. He never played in the Braves system.

Zack Wheeler, who pitched for the Mets in 2013, 2014 and from 2017 to 2019, was 16-7 with a 2.57 ERA in 32 starts for the Phillies, striking out 224 batters in 200 innings and posting a league-leading 0.955 WHIP and 6.3 H/9. His ERA+ was 159. He made the All-Star team.

Trevor Williams, who pitched for the Mets in 2021 and 2022, was 6-1 with a 2.03 ERA in 13 starts for the Nationals. He made two starts for their Double-A club in Harrisburg, posting a 2.45 ERA.

Justin Wilson, who pitched for the Mets in 2019 and 2020, was 1-5 with a 5.59 ERA in 60 games for the Reds. He average 9.8 K/9 IP. He had originally been signed by the Dodgers, but opted out of the contract before the season began.

Jimmy Yacabonis, who pitched for the Mets in 2023, was 4-1 with a 4.60 ERA in 38 relief appearances for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico.

Gabriel Ynoa, who pitched for the Mets in 2016, was 9-4 with a 4.91 ERA in 19 starts for the Pericos de Puebla in Mexico.

Rob Zastryzny, who pitched for the Mets in 2022, was 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA in 9 games (2 starts) for the Brewers. He was 4-0, 3.03 in 30 appearances for their Triple-A club in Nashville, striking out 39 batters in 29 2/3 innings.

Late 2023/2024 trades:

Justin Slaten - acquired in 2023 Rule V draft, then traded to Red Sox for Ryan Ammons. Was 6-2 with a 2.98 ERA in 43 games, striking out 58 in 54 1/3 innings. Never actually played in the Mets system. Current age: 27.

Coleman Crow - originally received for Eduardo Escobar in 2023, but never played in the Mets system. Traded to for Adrian Houser and Tyrone Taylor in December 2023. Didn't play in the Brewers system in 2024, spending the whole year on the IL. Current age: 23.

Rylan Bannon - had some MLB experience, but not with the Mets. Played for Syracuse in 2024, traded to the Twins in July. Hit .165 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI for the Twins AAA team in St. Paul. Current age: 28.

Rhylan Thomas - traded to the Mariners for Ryne Stanek in July. Hit .322/.365/.373 with 10 steals and 57 hits in 47 games for their Triple-A club in Tacoma. Current age: 24.

Late 2021/2022 trades:

J.T. Ginn - traded to the Athletics with Adam Oller for Chris Bassitt in late 2021. Was 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA in 8 games (6 starts) for the Athletics; Was 8-4, 5.26 in 21 games (20 starts) between their Double- and Triple-A clubs in Midland and Las Vegas, respectively. Current age: 25.

Adam Oller - see J.T. Ginn above. Was 2-4 with a 5.31 ERA in 8 starts for the Marlins. Was originally signed by the Guardians, going 1-0, 7.48 in 12 games (6 starts) for their Triple-A club in Columbus. He was released and the Marlins signed him in July. He went 3-0, 2.88 in 6 games (3 starts) for their Triple-A club in Jacksonville. In total, he was 4-1, 5.30 in the minors, averaging more than a K per frame. Current age: 29.

Jose Acuna - traded with Hector Rodriguez to the Reds for Tyler Naquin and Philip Diehl in July 2022. Pitched for three clubs in their minor league system this year, going 0-3 with a 3.69 ERA in 15 games (12 starts). Current age: 21.

Hector Rodriguez - see Acuna above. Hit .274 with 12 home runs, 61 RBI and 12 steals in 125 games for the Reds High-A club in Dayton. Current age: 20.

Saul Gonzalez - traded to the Cubs for Mychal Givens in August 2022. Didn't pitch in 2024, having spent the whole year on the IL. Still in the Cubs system. Current age: 24.

Carson Seymour - traded with Nick Zwack, J.D. Davis and Thomas Szapucki to the Giants for Darin Ruf in August 2022. Was 7-10 with a 4.82 ERA in 29 games (28 starts) for their Triple-A club in Sacramento. Current age: 25.

Isaiah Greene - traded with Josh Wolf, Andres Gimenez and Amed Rosario to the Indians for Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco in early 2021. He hit .202 with 18 hits in 28 games for their High-A club in Lake County in 2024. Current age: 23.

Josh Wolf - see Greene above. This year, was 0-1 with a 5.11 ERA in 10 relief appearances for the Guardians High-A team in Lake County. Was released May 19. Signed by the Giants on May 23. He played for three of their low-minors clubs, going 2-2, 5.82 in 11 rookie league games, 2-0, 0.71 in 7 Single-A games and 0-0, 6.43 in 6 High-A games. Overall, between the Guardians and Giants systems, he went 4-3 with a 4.41 ERA in 34 games (2 starts), striking out 65 batters in 49 innings. Current age: 24.

Endy Rodriguez - Sent to the Pirates in the three-team trade that netted the Mets Joey Lucchesi from the Padres. He played 10 games between the Pirates Double-A and Triple-A teams, hitting .256 with 10 hits. Current age: 24.

Josh Winckowski - original acquired in the deal that sent Steven Matz to the Blue Jays. Sent in three-team deal to the Red Sox a couple weeks later (without playing in the Mets system) in the trade that got the Mets Khalil Lee. Was 4-2 with a 4.14 ERA in 40 relief appearances for Boston in 2024. He was 3-2 with a 2.87 ERA in 7 games (6 starts) for their Triple-A club in Worcester. Current age: 26.

Matthew Dyer - sent with Tommy Hunter to the Rays for Rich Hill. He hit .213 with 26 hits in 41 games between the Rays Double-A (39 G) and Triple-A (2 G) clubs this year. Current age: 26.

Pete Crow-Armstrong - sent to the Cubs for Javier Baez and Trevor Williams. Hit .237 with 10 home runs, 47 RBI and 27 steals in 123 games for the Cubs in '24. He hit .255/.299/.509 with 4 home runs, 14 RBI and 10 steals in 26 games for their Triple-A club in Iowa. Current age: 22.

Late 2019/2020 trades:

Kenedy Corona - sent with Blake Taylor to the Astros in late 2019 for Jake Marisnick. Played 78 games for the Astros Double-A club and 20 for their Triple-A club, hitting .214 with 27 stolen bases in 98 total games this year. Current age: 24.

Blake Taylor - see Corona above. Played in the Rangers system this year, going 4-2 with a 5.80 ERA in 34 relief appearances for their Triple-A club in Round Rock. Current age: 29.

Burch Smith - taken by the Mets in the 2017 Rule V Draft, immediately flipped to the Royals for a player to be named later or cash, without ever playing in the Mets system. He signed with the Rays to begin 2024, but was purchased by the Marlins before the season began. With Miami, he was 2-0 with a 4.25 ERA in 25 games. He was released June and signed with the Orioles June 27. With Baltimore, he was 2-1 with a 5.74 ERA in 25 games. Overall, he was 4-1 with a 4.95 mark in 50 games. He had a 0.00 ERA in 2 games for the Orioles Triple-A club in Norfolk. He's currently on the 15-day IL. Current age: 34.

Late 2016/2017 trades:

Ricardo Cespedes - traded with Merandy Gonzalez to the Marlins for AJ Ramos. Hit .263/.292/.377 with 4 home runs and 20 RBI in 64 games for the Piratas de Campeche in Mexico in 2024. Current age: 27.

Late 2014/2015 trades:

Brad Wieck - traded as PTBNL with Cory Mazzoni to the Padres for Alex Torres. Was 3-2 with a 4.94 ERA in 21 strikeouts for the Cubs Triple-A club in Iowa, averaging more than a K per frame in 2024. Was released June 25. Current age: 32.

Was released June 1 and signed with the Pirates on June 10. In 15 games (13 starts) for their Triple-A club in Indianapolis, he was 2-5 with a 5.26 ERA. Michael Fulmer - see Cessa above. Signed with the Red Sox for 2024, but spent the whole year on the IL. Current age: 31.

Matt Koch - traded with Miller Diaz to the Diamondbacks for Addison Reed. Allowed 3 earned runs in 0.1 IP for the Rockies for a 81.00 ERA in 2024. He spent most of the year with their Triple-A club in Albuquerque, going 6-5 with a 6.17 ERA in 49 games with them. Current age: 33.

Late 2012/2013 trades:

Jefrey Marte - traded to the Athletics for Collin Cowgill. Played for the Pericos de Puebla and Bravos de Leon in Mexico in 2024, hitting .200 with 6 home runs and 14 RBI in 23 games. He was released July 2. Current age: 33.

Let's see how some other guys who were in the Mets system, but never played for them, did in 2024.

Peyton Battenfield - Pitched for Syracuse in 2023. Went 5-8 with a 7.45 ERA in 26 games (24 starts) for the Rockies Triple-A club in Albuquerque in 2024.

Elieser Hernandez - traded to the Mets with Jeff Brigham in November 2022. Pitched in their system in 2023. He signed with the Dodgers for 2024, going 4-1, 2.83 in 28 2/3 IP for their Triple-A club in Oklahoma City. He was 0-1 with a 8.38 ERA in 9 2/3 innings for the Dodgers themselves. He became a free agent in early June and signed with the Brewers the next day. In 6 innings with Milwaukee, he had a 3.00 ERA, bringing his MLB total to 0-1, 6.32 in 15 2/3 IP. He became a free agent again in late June. Then he went overseas and went 3-2 with a 4.02 ERA in 11 games (9 starts) for the LG Twins in Korea.

Daniel Palka - played in the Mets system in 2022 and 2023. Went to Mexico for 2024, hitting .298/.372/.553 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI in 41 games for Laguna Niguel.

Penn Murfee - signed by the Mets in October 2023, claimed by Atlanta a couple weeks later, released by Atlanta before the 2024 season, then he joined the Astros system. Never played in the Mets system. Was 0-1 with a 108.00 ERA in 0.1 innings for the 'Stros Single-A club at Fayetteville in 2024.

Austin Adams - signed by the Mets in November 2023, then purchased by the A's in March 2024. Never played in the Mets system. Was 1-2 with a 3.92 ERA in 56 relief appearances for Oakland, striking out 53 in 41 1/3 IP.

Tyler Heineman - selected off waivers by New York in December 2023. Purchased by Boston in February. Selected off waivers by the Blue Jays, from whom the Mets claimed him originally, in September. Never played in the Mets system. Between the Red Sox and Blue Jays, he was 1-for-12 in 7 games. In 52 minor league games spent mostly at Triple-A, he hit .253 with 6 homers.

Cooper Hummel - selected off waivers by New York in December 2023. Purchased by San Francisco in January 2024. Selected off waivers by the Astros in April. Never played in the Mets system. He went hitless in 6 ABs for the Astros. In 101 games for their Triple-A club in Sugar Land, he hit .277 with 10 homers, 59 RBI, 15 steals and a .419 OBP.

Taylor Kohlwey - played in the Mets system in 2024, before being released. He latched on with the Long Island Ducks, with whom he hit .240 with 2 homers and 21 RBI in 49 games.

Trayce Thompson - played in the Mets system in 2024, before being released. He joined the Cubs Triple-A team, with whom he hit .240 with 7 home runs and 22 RBI.

Diego Castillo - let me just copy and paste his travels—January 19, 2024: Selected off waivers by the New York Yankees from the New York Mets. February 5, 2024: Selected off waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies from the New York Yankees. February 16, 2024: Selected off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles from the Philadelphia Phillies. April 5, 2024: Purchased by the Minnesota Twins from the Baltimore Orioles. Had 2 hits in 6 ABs for the Twins, scoring thrice. In 113 Triple-A games, spent mostly in the Twins system, he hit .261 with 9 home runs, 54 RBI and 13 steals.

Jose Rondon - signed by the Mets in January, released in March. Went to the Mexican League, where he hit .236 with 9 homers and 35 RBI in 57 games for the Diablos Rojos del Mexico.

Luke Voit - played in the Mets system in 2023. Went to Mexico for 2024, where he hit .270/.391/.554 with 23 home runs and 57 RBI in 81 games for Tabasco.

Kolton Ingram - Another copy/paste job: February 25, 2024: Selected off waivers by the New York Mets from the Detroit Tigers. April 24, 2024: Selected off waivers by the Texas Rangers from the New York Mets. May 10, 2024: Selected off waivers by the St. Louis Cardinals from the Texas Rangers. July 2, 2024: Selected off waivers by the San Francisco Giants from the St. Louis Cardinals. Played for four Triple-A teams and a Double-A team this year, going 7-2 with a 3.59 ERA in 46 relief appearances overall.

Jon Duplantier
- went to indy ball after flunking out of the Mets system in 2024. Was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 30 Ks in 18 IP (over 4 starts) for the Lake Country DockHounds, which prompted the Dodgers to sign him on August 8. He had a 3.60 ERA in one start for their Double-A club and was 3-2 with a 3.56 ERA in 6 starts for their Triple-A club, K-ing 41 batters in 30 1/3 innings.

Duke Ellis - claimed by the Mets in June, claimed by the Mariners in early July, claimed by the Yankees August 26. After leaving the Mets system, he had a 1.000 BA for the Yankees (in one at-bat). He played for five minor league teams this year, hitting .230 with 57 stolen bases in 83 games.

Andriel Lantigua - was sold to the Rockies in June. He was hitless in 9 ABs for their rookie-level club (and he hit .000 in 25 ABs split between four minor league clubs that year...and his career BA is .135 in 126 minor league ABs).

Tayler Saucedo - claimed off waivers by the Mets in November 2022, claimed by Seattle from New York in January 2023. He went 2-0 with a 3.49 ERA in 53 relief appearances for Seattle and also pitched a scoreless inning for their Triple-A team in Tacoma.

Mike Montgomery - signed by the Mets in February 2021, then released in March 2021. Signed by the Mets again in March 2022, then granted free agency in November. He was 6-7 with a 5.65 ERA in 22 games (21 starts) for the independent Long Island Ducks in 2024.

Michel Otanez - pitched in the Mets system from 2016 to 2022. Was signed by the Athletics for 2024 and went 1-0 with a 3.44 ERA in 36 relief appearances, striking out 55 batters in 34 innings. He was 7-1 with a 5.35 ERA in 29 relief appearances for their Triple-A club, striking out 55 in 37 innings.

Antonio Santos - selected off waivers by the Mets in 2021, granted free agency in November 2022. Began 2024 with Puebla in the Mexican League, going 1-0 with a 2.49 ERA in 4 starts. Joined the Cubs system and went 9-4 with a 3.99 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) for their Double-A club, striking out 80 in 70 innings.

Stephen Ridings - selected off waivers by the Mets in November 2022, released in July 2023. Went 1-0 with a 3.06 ERA in 9 games (7 starts) for the independent High Point Rockers, striking out 41 in 32 1/3 innings.

Jaylin Davis - played in the Mets system in 2023. Hit .240 with 13 home runs and 48 RBI in 77 games for the independent Milwaukee Milkmen in 2024.

Bubby Rossman - played in the Mets system in 2023. Was 1-0 with a 3.07 ERA in 14 relief appearances for Aguascalientes in Mexico.

Seth Elledge - pitched in the Mets system in 2023. Was 3-3 with 11 saves and a 2.22 ERA in 34 games for the Athletics Double-A club in Midland.

Alex Sanabia - played in the Mets system in 2021. Played for Saltillo in Mexico in 2024, going 4-6 with a 3.45 ERA in 14 starts.

Arodys Vizcaino - played in the Mets system in 2021. Pitched for Yucatan in Mexico, going 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA in 5 relief appearances.

Mark Payton - played in the Mets system in 2021. Hit .309/.383/.463 with 10 home runs, 53 RBI and 112 games for the White Triple-A club in Charlotte.
