Lindor got a "facet" shot in his back

One part Lidocaine one part cortisone

I get this combo fairly often and it does help with the little I'm asked to do
Call me crazy, but with Lindor hurting and Acuña doing a better than serviceable job at short, I wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea to try Lindor in right field. He has the arm and enough athleticism to play anywhere, and RF is much less demanding physically than short.

Nope...Brew Crew came back from 8-0 to win 10-9 over Arizona. DBacks are fading and close out the season against the Giants and Padres, and we hold the tiebreaker.

Oh nice, I misread that on the scoreboard apparently

Soft contact getting the Mets into a first-inning hole.

Surprised Jeremy Hefner is making a mound visit.

(Technically, he's visiting the pitcher. The mound is incidental to the visit.)

Wow! Possibly Alonso's last home game in Flushing.

The same is true of Jesse Winker but he didn't get a standing O. His deep drive might have carried out of the park if he did.

As Chad Ochoseis pointed out Milwaukee came back for a win over Arizona, but unfortunately the Braves won against Miami. Pretty big game tonight. A win and the Mets are tied with Arizona for the second WC spot with Atlanta 2 games back (on the outside looking in). A Mets loss tonight, nd Arizona retains a 1 game lead for the second WC spot, and Atlanta trails the Mets by only 1 game for the third WC spot.

I'm sure they will make a strong bid to keep him, but he will be a free agent (represented by Scott Boras) so nothing is guaranteed.

Vientos has really had to hammer his way around the bases.

I wonder if Acuña's name gives him any kind of psychological edge against other NL East teams.

When you're hot you're hot. Acuna follows with a "swinging bunt" single.

I feel like the ump owes Megill a strike, but he didn't need to cash it in to get Harper.

Look't Megill going toe-to-toe with Wheelie.

I think the Mets were just batting ... but the folks in Bristol chose not to show it to us so I'm not sure how things turned out.

Five+ inning's worth of pitches from Tylor just to get through four.
At best we're going to need four innings from the pen tonight and maybe five as this may be it for Megill.

No such issue for Wheeler.

Maton is getting it done.

Getting two shutout innings out of the fifth, sixth, or maybe seventh guy in the pen is close to being as good as getting two more out Megill.

Can you imagine a broadcast with more unimportant asides, interviews and other pablum? Brutal. Just show the baseball game.
