That's correct about Chiti. Though it's part of the lore, it might not be technically correct that he was "traded" for himself, however ... I once read what actually happened (but forgot what I read), and Baseball Reference doesn't even list it as a trade. Rather, it says he was purchased from Cleveland, then returned to Cleveland. The word "trade" was never used. Anyway, a new question has been added.

1. Who got the save on Mets Opening Day 1989 but only got one other save for the Mets in his career after that?

2. In the movie "The Odd Couple" there was a fictitious game between the Pirates and the Mets at Shea and Bill Mazeroski of the Pirates hit into a game ending triple play and the Mets won 1-0. Give me the names of all four players for the Mets who played the infield during Mazeroski's game ending triple play and also give me the name of the Mets pitcher who got Mazeroski to hit into the game ending triple play.

3. Who is Steve Chilcott and what is notable about him?

4. Who were the only Mets to wear #41 before Tom Seaver?

5. Who were the top five leaders in home runs for the Mets in the decade, 2000-2009, in order?

Catcher Steve Chilcott was the Mets' first pick in the 1968 June amateur draft, but failed to reach the majors, one of the few players to fall short despite being the first overall selection.

The answer regarding Chilcott is correct. As it pertains to the home run leaders, the names are right, but the order is wrong. It's hard to give hints for that one, but I'll do my best. Here are the home run totals for the top five: 157, 140, 127, 104 and 81. #1 debuted for the Mets in 1998, #2 in 2004, #3 in 2005, #4 in 2006 and #5 in 2003.

That's correct on the order, well done. A couple more questions have been added, with hints added for the rest.

1. Who got the save on Mets Opening Day 1989 but only got one other save for the Mets in his career after that?

Hint: Pitched just one year for the Mets, 1989.

Hint: There is a little debate as to who actually was involved in this scene, however there is a general consensus. The first baseman debuted for the Mets in 1962, the second baseman in 1967, the shortstop in 1965, the third baseman in 1966 and the pitcher in 1964.

Hint: Four men wore the number before Seaver.

4. Who is the only Mets pitchers in team history to start two games in a row that the team played in the same season?

The pitcher was involved in this trade: Traded by the New York Mets with Buddy Booker, Tommy Davis and Billy Wynne to the Chicago White Sox for Tommie Agee and Al Weis.
Hint: The third baseman was a multi-time All-Star with the Cardinals. The second baseman was never an All-Star, but he played in the '64 World Series with the Cardinals. The shortstop was twice an All-Star with the Mets, 1970 and 1971. The first baseman was an All-Star with the Mets in 1965. The pitcher was never an All-Star, in fact he twice led the league in losses and went 86-139 for his career.
Hint: The third baseman had a brother named Cloyd. The second baseman is the only player in big league history with that last name. The shortstop shares a surname with someone nicknamed "Hawk." Martinez, Piazza and Seaver are correct! Since the Seaver question had two answers, and two separate individuals provided correct answers, I have given one point to each. Three new questions have been added.

Hint: There is a little debate as to who actually was involved in this scene, however there is a general consensus. The first baseman debuted for the Mets in 1962, the second baseman in 1967, the shortstop in 1965, the third baseman in 1966 and the pitcher in 1964.

Thea pitcher was involved in this trade: Traded by the New York Mets with Buddy Booker, Tommy Davis and Billy Wynne to the Chicago White Sox for Tommie Agee and Al Weis.

2. Who were the only Mets to wear #41 before Tom Seaver?

Hint: Four men wore the number before Seaver. Actually, it might have been five if you go by what Baseball Reference says. So, we'll go with five.
Hint: Player One pitched for the Mets in '62. Player Two pitched for the Mets in '63. Player Three pitched for the Mets in '65. Player Four pitched for the Mets in '65. Player Five pitched for the Mets in '65 and '66.
Hint: Player One was twice an All-Star with the Dodgers. Three of the players never pitched for any team other than the Mets, and they spent just one year in the majors. The fifth guy also pitched for the Cardinals, in 1964.
Hint: Player One is Clem Labine, who was guessed. Player Two died in 1985 at 44 years old. Player Three is still alive and kicking, having been born in 1946. Player Four is still alive, having been born in 1943. Player Five is also still alive, but he was born way back in '38.

4. Historians give two antecedents for the the Mets selection of the colors of orange and blue, and they are probably both right.

The first says that the Mets selected the colors in order to claim the New York National League mantle abandoned by The New York Giants, who wore orange as their trim color, and The Brooklyn Dodgers, for whom something akin to Mets royal blue was their base color.

The second says that these are simply the official colors of New York City, featured prominently in the city's flag and seal.
