Yeah, let him do that 3 or 4 more times. I don't trust him at the major-league level right now.

Mauricio didn't play last night.
Was there a announcement about why?
Is he inured?

He is playing tonight, 1 for 2 so far and they are in the 5th.

Yesterday was just a day off, I think that it's his first day off.

By the way, tonight Mark Vientos t shirt night in Syracuse... guess that is why Buck caved and gave Vientos a token start before he goes back to rotting on the bench for several days.

Down 8–5 going into the bottom of the seventh tonight, Syracuse rallied for two in the seventh and one each in the eighth and ninth to walk off with a 9–8 victory over Louisville.

Butto has a 7.30 ERA and from the box scores I've been following, he deserves every digit of it.

Well, it's hard for a starter to not deserve his ERA. It's designed as reflection of his overall effectiveness, and it's built from the same stats that are in the boxscores.

It was my way of noting that he's been getting clobbered regularly and not one or two bad outings skewing the numbers.

In recent years (like from Tom Glavine on), it seems like the Mets always seem to have the worst LHP at the MLB level...Neise, Glavine, Peterson, etc

I'm not sure how you see that, or what that claim has to do with righthanded José Butto getting hit hard in the minors.

From SNY:
The Mets have made an addition to their Triple-A depth, acquiring 1B/3B Tyler White from the Minnesota Twins.
White last appeared at the big-league level back in 2019 with the Dodgers and Astros. Across 256 career MLB games, he has 26 home runs and a .752 OPS.
Through 16 games down in Triple-A this season, White's slashing .259/.386/.414 with two homers and three doubles. The Mets have assigned him to Triple-A Syracuse.

Syracuse fell behind 4-1 this evening before coming back for a 10-5 victory over Rochester. Jonathan Arauz led the attack, driving in four runs and scoring three with a homer and a triple.

A snapshot of the roster is below, and it's a mess. First of all, it's hard to tell who is a starter and who is a reliever on any given night, because they're just throwing pitchers against the wall and seeing who might stick, and not a lot are. Secondly, despite a presumptive limit on the roster, their clubhouse is packed, with the rules providing plenty of loopholes to carry rehabbers and "developmental" players and such.

He made a couple of nice plays in games we attended last week. They are back in town this week and I hope to attend either Wednesday or Thursday evening, as the rest of our week is booked up with other stuff.

Tonight's game was postponed because of the smoky air coming down from Canadian fires.
Maybe it will be Thursday and you can see a double dip.

Maybe they can send Vogelbach there to clean the air. He sucks so much he could clean the air over the entire city.
