There's certainly a chance, but I wouldn't bet that way.

When Narvaez returns is the more likely chance but that'll be several weeks at least and who knows how the cards will read by then.

Nido reportedly set to rejoin the club tonight. I guess it;s bye bye Sanches or perhaps a convenient injury to one of the relievers who worked yesterday

At least until the lingering Nido vs. Narvaez situation comes up.

So apparently, Sanchez got a time limit for how long the Mets could wait before activating him, and then a guaranteed prorated $1.5M salary which leaves the Mets on the books for about a million for the rest of this season. Well I hope the 6 at-bats he got instead of Perez make all the difference in the season.

Was he threatening to force the government to default on its debts?

No surprise. With Alvarez playing the way he had, Sanchez was 4th on the depth chart with little chance of being called up.

Nido will be gone when Narvaez comes off the IL.

If the demand for catching is that high right now, we should seriously consider moving Narvaez for pitching help sooner rather than later.

Well, there's some restraints on that. Firstly, they can't trade a guy in on the injured list. Secondly (unless I've missed a rule change, which is highly possible), they can't trade a guy in the first half season of a multi-year contract.

Thirdly, and more practically, there's the shining likelihood that you need your redundancies as soon as you deal them off. They've already had their first and second catchers get hurt.

He's here to be a mentor to Álvarez, and most evidence would suggest that he's better than Nido. I'm for keeping him around and getting to know him better.
