I've only gotten one immaculate, and it was a Saturday. Not last one, but the one before that.

Lousy Immaculate Grid players of the world, unite!

Neither Jack McDowell nor Lamarr Hoyt struck out 200 batters in a season as a White Sock.

Hoyt didn't even come particularly close.

I guessed Lamar Hoyt too. My first guess, so I was guaranteed a loss from the very beginning. I also guessed David Cone for the Royals, but remembered too late that I was faced with this once before and neither Cone nor Saberhagen would be correct, but Dennis Leonard would.

I also crapped out guessing LaMarr Hoyt; ran out of guesses to circle back

Floyd Youmans and Bob Johnson with 200-k seasons. Had no idea

Pay attention to the card threads I've been posting since the Mets threw in the towel!

Also, the entire bottom row of my solution all played for both the Pirates and the Royals.

For White Sox .300 hitter, I tried typing "Joe Jackson" but it didn't recognize his name until I added the word "Shoeless".

My memory goes to "Floyd Youmans was discussed" but stops before "this was what was discussed about floyd youmans"

A little help:
Our other interloper was the highly touted Mets prospect with the all-star caliber ceiling. Alas, he never got to play for the Mets, and never did make an all-star team, though he did fan more than 200 batters one season.

I whiffed on PIT/CWS. It's an underwhelming list.

My addled mind somehow managed to remember pitcher Terry 'Fat Tub of Goo' Forster
I picked others to whiff on.

I ran out of guesses before even tackling that square. With the pressure off now, I checked out the list and realize I ought to have come up with Bill Almon and Richie Zisk.

Fun name to see on the list of Buc Sox is that of beloved forum member Johnny Dickshot.

Eight out of nine. A very easy quiz today what with the Mets being the only team column, other than the stumper. No idea on that one.

Willie Montanez is a correct answer to all three of the Mets boxes.

Roberto Hernandez would have worked for all three teams in the 300+ saves column. Wagner & Kimbrel in two each.
I went with Robb Nen in the upper right square.

Tough day to go rare as there just aren't that many 300+ guys in either category and many of the wins guys are from ancient times.
So I tried to go rare in the left hand column with Jesus Alou, Brad Hand, and John Stearns.

I don't seem to be able to display my grid

So did I. I guessed Steve Bedrosian. Robb Nen would have worked

Joe Nathan would have worked also. He had two partial seasons with the Giants at the top of his career, mostly as a starter, and threw 4 1/3 innings of mopup in his last season.

He had a total of 377 saves, only one of which was as a Giant, but he would have worked.

I went with Armando, but he came up 11 saves short of 300, largely attributable to two meh years as a Giant coming off a superstar year as a Marlin.

I guessed Mark Grace as my Cub Roy. One of those I knew was wrong as soon as I guessed.

I had George Frazier as my Cub Yankee. My only impressive pick

Hi, I'm Kyle Schwarber, and I not only did not win Rookie of the Year, I was not even given a single third-place vote, and anyone who thought I did win is an idiot, and deserves the ruined Immaculate grid it gives him.

I would, however, love for A Boy Named Seo's guess to come out legit.
