I've done that too. Often when I see a Tampa Bay logo on the grid.

My go-to Oriole/Tiger is Ray Knight.

I'm trying to do all Mets today, and I have seven squares full.

Looking for a Hall of Fame Twin who played for the Mets, and a GiantTwin who played for the Mets.

My first guess of the day for TEX/.300 was Toby Harrah.

I remembered the 1982 season when he was hitting .400 at the end of April, just shy of .390 at the end of May, and still over .350 as July began
en route to a season where his BA would fall to .304 but still a career year even as he just missed a .300/400/.500 line [.304/.398/.490] w/58 XBH.
And while he wasn't voted onto the starting eight that year (on account of George Brett also being an AL 3rd sacker) he was a reserve so it became
a controversy when AL mgr Billy Martin made him the only player not to enter the game despite his ongoing great career season. Harrah wound up
playing in 162 games that year but couldn't get into that one. Martin had managed the Rangers a few years earlier and there were rumors of friction
between the two. Of course everyone had friction with Billy sooner or later so this was just typical two-bit pettiness from him.

What I didn't remember was that Harrah was playing for Cleveland by '82, not Texas, and it turns out he never hit .300 for the Rangers ...
so, Strike One!
I didn't feel like playing after that ... so I didn't.

Whenever there's a 1st round pick question I tend to forget that it doesn't have to be a 1st round pick of the team shown, only
that he was a 1st round pick of someone but then played for the team listed at some point. I could have given some better
answers had I remembered that.

LAD/BAL - Boog Powell (I remember being at a NYM/LAD game at Shea when Boog was a PH at the end of his career ... and looked to be 400 lbs)
BAL/C - Andy Etchebarren (can't pass on a name like that)
BAL/1stR - Jackson Holliday (not surprisingly that one was a 28% guess)
TBR/LAD - Tyler Glasgow
TBR/C - Travis d'Arnaud (he was there for like a week)
TBR/1stR - Evan Longoria (38%)
LAD/MIN - Ken Landreaux
MIN/C - Butch Wynegar
MIN/1stR - Byron Buxton (18%)

Score = 129

I only got an eight, because I misidentified Ernie Banks as a Negro League shortstop. But I scored a very low 0.03% on Cleon Jones as a White Sox outfielder.

I can't help but try and fly too close to the sun on these. Here I went all-in on Rudy Law as a shortstop and took home a parting gift

PIT/HOU: Phil Garner; PIT 20W: Doug Drabek (48%!!); PIT/30 steals Frank Tavares
BOS/HOU: Curt Schilling; BOS 20W: Jim Lonborg; BOS/30: Johnny Damon (the answer I was least sure of)
ATL/HOU: Jim Bouton; ATL 20W: Warren Spahn; ATL 30: Ralph Garr

What I learned today upon looking it up after the game: the Pirates have had 62 20-win seasons in their history turned in by 31
different pitchers. Only three of those occurred in the last 65 years: John Candelaria (1977), Doug Drabek (1990), John Smiley (1991)
