Poll open through St. Stephen's Day
Perhaps you think the Mets will add something of note and that might have you thinking they can challenge for the playoffs, maybe even the NL East
Perhaps you think they will only add minor players and they will be fighting for .500
Either way get your votes in

I'm not clear what we're voting for... the only options are 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Why a poll? Can't you make this into a tournament, instead? Maybe with a hot-dog eating contest on the side.

To be honest (sorry Edge), I’M NAMED FOR THE GUY, and I had no clue until it came up in bar trivia last night that it’s an Irish version of Boxing Day, the day after Christmas.

Nascar announced an in-season tournament this week. MLS and WSL have one, NBA already got a global sponsor for theirs. I would guess it would only be a matter of can we work this into the current CBA or will this also be a part of the next one

I tried to get my bridge club to have a mid- season tournament, but the idea got trumped.

Golf has one too. It's some set-up where players accurate points during the early part of the season before they get to the
majors starting with Augusta in April ... but I don't really get it and can't bring myself to care about it.

I do not think they'll be sub-.500 all season. It seems very improbable that there offense, outwardly as 'loaded' as it is, won't get going eventually.
I'll say third place. I think I predicted 91 wins earlier this season. It's still possible. But a Mickey Callaway-ish 86 is more likely, and a low-80s total would surprise me even less.

1-He's not speaking in code.
2-Were the Mets to trade off the whole team at the deadline it would shock only those who can't remember last year.

When he says they can't do much until the trade deadline, that's silly.
Any trade can be made before the deadline, and through waivers after that.
There may be a desperation for many teams to move players as the deadline nears, but that isn't a hard start/stop.
