The Mets have signed lefty Reliever Danny Young to a minor league/ invite to spring training deal.

Those numbers look good to me.

As it pertains to Danny Young, I mostly remember the Danny Young of the Cubs from 2000 (who also died last year), as he was the reliever the Cubs brought in during the Mets' game in Japan that Benny Agbayani hit a game-winning grand slam off of. I remember watching it on TV at like 5 in the morning.

They keep describing these moves as 'low-risk, high reward' moves. The vast majority turn out to be 'low risk, no reward.'

I'm guessing Stearns is going for 'low-risk, high quantity' this offseason.
Even duct tape can't fix stupid. But it can sure muffle the sound.

As Blackstreet would say, he 's trying to "get game by the pound".
