This may have flown under the radar (or I missed it) but the Mets appear to have eliminated Saturday night home games.
Every Saturday home game is showing a 1:40 or 4:10 PM start time.

April and May: makes total sense.
July/August: not really.

I wasn't advocating for a full abandonment of Sat night games although I thought going almost exclusively to them
was overkill the other way so I do like that they cut back. And, yeah Apr & May Sat night games were moronic.

Thinking this too. In the summer, Saturday night games are great

Fun times in the Valentine era when they had Don Pardo do "live from New York..." intro. Full house, Benny Agbanayi giveaway game, Budweiser in aluminum cans

And now it's the Yanquis starting a Saturday game in April at night.
They were the one club most bucking the trend over the last few decades and held onto their 1PM starts almost exclusively
throughout the whole season unless it was a network game in which they had no say over first pitch time.
But here they are tonight, at home, with a 7:05 game time on just their second home game of the year and the first Saturday
in April. I haven't checked the rest of their sked but I wonder what prompted this sudden course reversal.
