Hi, I'm Rafael Ortega. I was Met #1210, appearing in the 2023 season we just played. The White Sox signed me to a minor-league contract 26 days ago, eliciting all of zero memories from you. Zero.
But that's understandable, seeing as I only appeared in ... 47 games! Holy shit, I appeared in 47 GAMES and you couldn't be bothered with giving me a memorial thread?! You suck!
I'm sorry, that was harsh, but come on! You're, like, the Rafael Ortega of forums! Please, won't somebody remember me?!

He had shown occasional power in the minors and I wanted to see how much he could contribute when he was brought up.
His 1 HR and 8 RBI in 47 games said "not too much".

He was the opposite of Arauz, a quiet unassuming guy with quiet unassuming performances. I couldn't believe how often he played last year. I mean I could but I couldn't also.
Among outfielders who wore No. 30 he was no Floyd or Conforto.

Like a lot of quad AAA types, I remember them more for their appearances in the 'Cuse, in the flesh, than I do for anything accomplished at the MLB level.

Had enough flashes of decency that it wouldn't have hurt to bring him back for 2024. Also, he stole six bases for New York. I didn't know he was that much of a speedster.

I must have missed each of the 47 games he played in. 'Cuz I got nothin'.
