Turned 37 a couple of weeks ago. The Mets would be his ninth major league team. (He's been with the Phillies, Rangers, Athletics, White Sox, Royals, Diamondbacks, Rays, and Red Sox.) Last year he had a 3.34 ERA in 63 games (56.2 innings) with the White Sox and Rays. 64 strikeouts, 38 walks, and 3 homers allowed.

The Mets should sign somebody to represent all the subway stops.
Any word on whether this is a major-league deal? Gotta be, right?
OE: SomeDudeonTwitter is calling it a two-year deal.

Now that they've been adding relievers, there's a big gulf of talent between the rest of the bullpen and Tonkin.
