What's in Store for Twenty-Four?: Dedniel Núñez

In recent years, the Mets have grown more Venezuelan and Puerto Rican than Dominican, and long have I aimed to turn that paradigm on its ear. The Giants didn't play nice, taking me in the minor-league phase of the Rule V Draft in 2020, and I went to Spring Training and quickly blew out my UCL. I spent a year recuperating from Tommy John Surgery on the Giants time and then they returned my contract to the Mets, where I have since renewed my agenda of bringing DOMINICAN FIRE to Citi Field.
I've already made my debut this year striking out three and giving up a run in a two-inning stint. That was against the BRAVES lineup, mind you.
I am now back in AAA with my ZERO ERA, and I may not be a New York Met again for weeks, or even months, but the way these teams rotate relievers, you know that me and my rebuilt UCL will be back.
What's the fire going to bring? How much major league talent will my flame consume?
