Not a bad person. Horrible hitter. I'm glad he found a home - far away from us.

I blame Susan Collins

Probably a better hitter than Joey Wendle, although it didn't show up in whatever data we have so far this year.
Probably a worse fielder than Joey Wendle, although it didn't show up in whatever data we have so far this year.
It would have been nice for his ride to have lasted longer, but with José Iglesias, Mark Vientos, Ronny Mauricio, Luisangel Acuna, Jett Williams, et al. pushing him from behind, he was between a rock and a hard place trying to hold spot. It was either get off to a fast start or get out of the way.

Re: Memories of Zack Short
I never really thought he was anything but a stopgap.
Re: Memories of Zack Short
Indeed, we all are.
Re: Memories of Zack Short
A Mets fan who got the news he'd made his childhood team shortly after losing his grandma.
Never more popular than when Joey Wendle threw to second base.

Hope for the best. Expect the Mets.

We have Short memories.
Re: Memories of Zack Short
You kind of just knew he wasn't going to last. Very little about his previous MLB experience suggested he'd be around long.

Good ol’ Zack of the Red Sox is now traitorous Zack of the Braves.

Re: Memories of Zack Short
Speaking of traitorous Braves, that team seems to be stacking their broadcast crew with former short-term Mets.
I don't think there's any intent on their part since all have longer-term Atlanta connections, but their rotating
lineup now includes the recently retired Collin McHugh who joins the likes of Jeff Francouer, Tom Glavine, and,
on the radio side, Kelly Johnson. How did they let Greg McMichael slide by without at least an audition?
