Billy the Marlin

Some mascot characters are more inspired than others, and there is nothing offensive about this guy in concept.

But in execution, come on. Isn't the main point of mascot figures that they should be soft, inviting, padded, and huggable? Not rendered in hard edges and molded plastic?

How many eyes have been lost to this guy? Even his waistline looks like something I could hurt myself against.

He's only like that when he's excited.

He's only like that when he's excited.
Like when the Marlins are facing the Mets.
When did the choices get so hard
With so much more at stake
Life gets mighty precious
When there's less of it to waste
