I made a few miscalcs above, I think, but this should be (but probably isn't) accurate, as of the rain delay.

How about Adrian Houser as starter vs. Adrian Houser as reliever?

How about Carlos Mendoza as a clueless Yankee castoff vs. Carlos Mendoza as a cool, firm, steady hand?

How 'bout just team offense from May to June
Month | G | RS | R/G | BA | OBA | SLG | OPS | Record | Run Diff |
MAY | 28 | 112 | 4.0 | .232 | .301 | .376 | 677 | 9 - 19 | -42 |
JUNE | 21 | 135 | 6.43 | .290 | .362 | .515 | 877 | 15 - 6 | +46 |
Compare those OPS figures to individual batters and the Mets in May hit most similarly to the 2024 versions of Luis Garcia Jr and Shea Langeliers, currently 116th & 117th among the 148 qualified batters (McNeal, btw, is #148).
But in June that 877 OPS sticks them just south of Mookie Betts and just above Yordan Alvarez, currently 12th & 13th in all of MLB
So in June we've basically had a lineup consisting of nine Mookie Alvarez's
Quite a contrast. And proving once again that ynabaylwyl-and-ynagaylwyw
