Every time the team goes to Anaheim, I think Willie Randolph-type thoughts.

They should give an award to the pitcher with the most decisions for the year. I will guess this guy is in the running (that ERA is pretty impressive too)

I'm thinking the 'la' is some kind of L A humor or such?
I bet fly balls really take off in Tibet though!

I think of Willie Randolph first, and Jose Reyes' major-league debut second.

Steve Trachel's 1 -hitter, and the crazy game where Marlon Anderson hit an inside the park home run and Cliff Floyd hit a game winning (?) extra inning HR

Am I making up the inside-the-park home run game? I don't see it on the list

An ode to Paul Blackburn
Now that you've found your new Mets team
This is your pitching staff to command
You can get on the hill and polish year seems
Or sit in the dugout with the Trumpets on hand
Here's your reward for pitching so well
Gone are the gopher balls in the big yard
Gone are the days always on the IL
You just want to sit in your Shangri La
Put on your jockstrap and sit next to Carlos
You've reached the Mets and you can't go any higher
You're in your uniform not an A anymore
Sit back on the old bullpen stool
You do need to worry you do need to care
You can't use spider tack anymore
Shangri La

Not a great peg by Kennedy. Like he slung it in slow motion.

Marlon's clearly safe there, I don't know what Molina thought he saw.
But even a halfway decent relay has him out by ten feet which, considering it
was maybe a 100ft throw, made it a terrible peg.

Gotta say. I don’t know what Stearns sees in Blackburn. Nothing in his stats suggests he’s any good. If he hits on this he must really be able to see things others don’t.
Hopefully this is not another Houser.
