I thought, if there was any day we'd see Alonso or Lindor sit — or DH at the least — this would be it.

I’m not opposed to giving JD Martinez a start in left.

Alvarez is having a rough year, not quite the breakout season I imagined

Francisco will get over the injury and hit the gas even if it's into 2025

I went up The Arch in 1976. Freaky eggshell elevators that sat like six
and you'd go up some and then adjust and then go up more and adjust.
I've always wondered if they modernized how to get up there. The other
thing that was freaky was you could feel The Arch move in the wind.

Manaea seems so comfortable and confident, almost like he kinda wanted somebody to get to second the last three innings, so he can be more dramatic as he strikes out a guy to end the inning — which is how he's ended every inning.

Game. Broken. Open.

Now get a couple of principles out of the game and on a plane to Denver.

Despite being a .230-something hitter, Taylor has been a real asset for this club.

We kinda left the fifth one on the table.

Let's hope that doesn't haunt us.

Well, it looked like Manaea finally found a jam he couldn't slip out of, but Taylor pulled it down with his ass against the wall.

Tyrone Taylor, by the way, is totally the Tommy Pham of 2024.

1. I sure hope MLB has better camera angles than SNY because those were really lacking.

2. This is absolute crap by MLB. They need to explain what they are seeing.

Could've been two runs if Alonso ran a little smarter, but I'll take it.

On work travel in Denver this week and listening to the non Howie XM call. So far so good. I will be at the game tomorrow and/or Wednesday.

McNeil is slowly starting to redeem himself.

Since July 1, he's hit .291/.337/.562.

Since July 19, he's hit .353/.386/.706.

The power surge is unsustainable, I think, but he could get himself up to the .280s before the season is done.
