Musgrove's overall numbers aren't great, but he's been solid since coming back from injury. 8.1 IP, 1 ER. 73 pitches his last time out, so you'd guess he's just about stretched out by now.

Even if this wasn't the right move for purely effectiveness reasons, Brazoban would be unavailable for most of the
upcoming week anyway on account of the 156* or so pitches it took him just to protect a seven run lead last night
so you could justify the move on that basis alone.
* OK it was really only 36 but, still, that's a shit-ton just to get through one inning and seven batters
