Alvarez has three homers in his last five games.

I wonder where he'll bat in the lineup.

Zack Wheeler is a tough opponent but I really am hopeful that the Mets can deny the Phillies the chance to celebrate an NL East title at Citi Field. Pack up your champagne and go drink it at your next stop, ya bums

Obviously not an option for everyone but once I saw this game was moved to ESPN I went a got a ticket to see it in person instead. I can take the FOX guys and Apple’s not bad…but ESPN is the worst of the 4, easily.

The Mets bench is really thin on left handed bats, but I would give Winker the start at DH over Martinez. Wheeler is a tough assignment and Winker hasn't been hot of late, but Martinez looks absolutely lost and overmatched the past month (or more).

Vientos needs a day imho
Acuna can play third so that's something
I think we are going to see an abundance of mix and match today
Leading to a Mets win of course
Wheeler Schmeeler, we have Tylord!!

Closing Night for the home schedule and the opening of possibilities as October approaches. I will be there in hopefully lucky 508.

It seems like a long long time since Buck Showalter managed the Mets
Possibly last game at Citified this
A win today would go FAR to ensure more games at Citified

If the Mets make the playoffs,, they'd likely have to advance to the Divisional Round to play more home games. Unless the Mets finish the season with the best Wild Card team record in the NL (the #4 seed), they'll be the road team for the entire best of three Wild Card round. Under the current playoff format, the higher seeds are the home teams in every first round game.

BTW, it's quite possible that the Mets face the Brewers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. If so, the Mets won't have to travel to get to Milwaukee for that playoff series. They'll already be there as the Mets also end their regular season in Milwaukee.

I'm getting the feeling Lindor may not be coming back, at all til 2025
Lindor got a "facet" shot in his back
One part Lidocaine one part cortisone
I get this combo fairly often and it does help with the little I'm asked to do

Well, if we're gonna vibe, I say Zach goes off the mound sniffling
after 2 1/3 with the Phillies down 6-zippo.

For a big game, it's pretty little. Winning the Braves series matters much more. Getting the tiebreaker is like winning an extra game.
Not that it would suck to win today. Not in the least.

Game to start on ESPN2 (hope you didn't set to record on ESPN)
btw, it's Fan Appreciation Day at CitiField, and to show you how much they appreciate you they moved it to a night game
(and, yes, I realize that the Mets didn't do this but the result is the same)
Oh, and Happy Equinox day
