One of Carlos Mendoza’s postgame presser mantras, especially when asked about how well the Mets are playing, is “we haven’t done anything,” a message which seems to have filtered down to the players, all of whom are so much calmer in discussing winning games than they are while winning them. So much fun to watch play ball, so reassuring to listen to afterwards.

Oh, they’ve done a few things, but keep acting like you haven’t. Whatever works. Quintana vs. Suarez for the chance to celebrate at Citi Field. But don’t tell them that. They just have to play their game, starting at 5:08 PM on FS1, pass the baton, and personify the other practiced expressions of determination they’ve perfected.

’Til they reach the highest ground.

Good morning to all on this high holy Mets day

The past week and a half have been one long happy blur. May it continue.

Ranger Suarez has good overall numbers, but has struggled in the second half. 5.65 ERA, 1.691 WHIP.

I can't help but think this reminds me of the Frankie Montas game meaning the Mets are gonna lose tonight.

FS1 is your network at 5:08. The West Coast Game doesn’t start until 9:08,so unless there are A LOT of extra innings, there shouldn’t be overlap necessitating FS2.

I think he's saying that today is a day that the Mets can advance to the LCS. We don't get many days like that.

I had three weeks of hair and beard this morning. I have a
