From Metsmerized online.
Two Mets minor league coaches will not be returning to the organization in 2025. From Yahoo Sports:
The Mets elected not to make any additions to their 40-man roster ahead of Tuesday evening’s Rule 5 protection deadline, meaning that right-hander's Mike Vasil and Dom Hamel among others will remain eligible to be selected during next month's draft.
Some of the notable players who were left open for Rule 5 selection include spring training standout Nate Lavender, 27-year-old versatile slugger Luke Ritter, and injury-plagued third-round pick Matt Allan.

I could see Hamel, Vasil and Ritter all being taken by someone. Hamel and Vasil would be put into bullpens and post 1.50 ERAs in 45 appearances next year.

Joey Meneses 1B Nationals and Hubie Harris RP Twins are both newly signed to minor league deals
Didn't know that sometimes slugger Joey Meneses is 32. He must have been an older rookie

The Mets re-signed Alex Ramirez to a minor league contract.
Maybe non-tendering him got his attention, and he will work harder to harness his five tool talent.

Today, the team signed outfielder Edward Olivares (Pirates) to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. The Mets also traded 2024 international bonus pool money to the Tampa Bay Rays for pitching prospect Sean Harney.

Is this a situation where they have to spend the 2024 international money or lose it?
Olivares is young, hits righty and has power. Might be interesting to see what he can do in spring training.
