I hope it's grey.

Jeez. It didn't even occur to me that the new unis might be (shudder) black.

I hope they are gray too. If not, I'd be fine with blue.
I liked these from a few years ago.
I'm hoping:
1. No black. Especially not the black without the white outline.
2. No script letters.
3. No block letters.

Some guy on the internet is showing a "leak" as a blue top with New York in orange outlined script ala the Friday blacks.

I hope it's gay.
I realize we have to mess with everything, but the Mets' roadie greys are objectively about as Platonic-ideal perfect as any road uniform ever, going back at least to the time of Philip of Macedon.

I don't hate that as long as it is in addition to, and not replacing, the gray version.

I might tolerate them wearing that for six-to-eight games per year, if they added six-to-eight more games to the schedule per year.
Actually, I think it's kind of awful.

I always thought the armor they had to wear when on the road ruined the look.

So I assume this design was chosen based on how many fans liked the script New York design on the 1980s uniforms.
Ask Keith and Ron about those. Both were particularly enamored with them.

That design is on the road batting practice caps, too!

The neckline is the same as the Nationals pullover. Haven't seen the back but would guess the numbers utilize the same outline style as the new blacks

What color pants go with this? Grey would be the safe choice but don't put it past the Mets to go monochrome with blue pants.
I'd like to see them try orange 🍊

Very happy for Baty that he retains enough juice to make this move.

New jersey isn’t as ugly as the “City Connect.”
But it has still quite bad.
