Pete challenges a strike call and ABS agrees with him. Pitcher then walks him, I don't think I like it

Alvarez is set up a lot more closed than he was last year. I think that’s a good approach.

If anyone is DVR'ng, the Lindor interview in the 4th inning is good.

He echoes Lili Von Shtupp.

An Omar de Los Santos sighting. And there's Alex Ramirez!
These games are fun.

Early in the game Gary talked about how to a man each of Sean, Pete, Ryan and Jesse told him that in free agency they absolutely never wanted to be elsewhere, take that with a pinch of salt, but i think the way this org is run now is night and day , players get paid no matter , I would think being in a good organization and clubhouse with a chance to win has to mean a whole lot too

Really hard to ask for more. Clay Holmes goes three perfect innings in his first start. Alonso takes walks in both of his trips. Soto hotos in his first time at the plate.

Baty even got a knock. The biggest downside is Kevin Parada whiffing both times up.

Soto hotos will be a good battle cry.

DiComo says this was the second largest spring opener ever at Clover Park , 7,394 , behind Matt Harvey's return from TJ surgery in 2015 ( 7,444)

That's a split squad game.
Some regulars are in the other one.
I saw the lineup on FB but can't find it now.

Can't believe they kept Max Kranick. We still might get to see him during the regular season after being teased last year.

Baty has three hits.
Everything else is meh.
Oh, and it looks like there are three players with a last name of De Santos.
I thought they only had two.

Was fun to be there with my Dad and surrounded by Mets fans. Defense was crisp with at least three double plays. The only run came on a balk. Acuna was the only big prospect to play. I don’t know if Alex Ramirez counts as a prospect anymore. Ended with a 1-1 tie. Clover Park looks fantastic with the renovations.

Plus I won a Carlos Beltran Bobblehead.
